A robust artificial neural network based speed/voltage regulator for synchronous generators

Proceedings of the IEEE International Symposium on Industrial Electronics, 2002
The paper presents a novel coordinated excitation/governor artificial neural network (ANN) based controller for AC synchronous generators. The proposed ANN based controller replaces the full global action of the voltage regulator, power system stabilizer, and speed governor controls.

An artificial neural network model for generating periodic signals by synchronizing external stimuli

Proceedings of the 22nd Annual International Conference of the IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society (Cat. No.00CH37143), 2002
A living body has self-organized information processing systems in their nerve system. They construct various internal models of the environment autonomically. Periodic behaviors, such as circadian rhythm, locomotion of limbs in walking and tapping, come from these internal pattern generators. They obtain the periodic signal by use of external stimuli,

SOME IC IMPLEMENTATIONS OF ARTIFICIAL NEURAL NETWORKS USING SYNCHRONOUS PULSE-DENSITY MODULATION TECHNIQUE

International Journal of Neural Systems, 1991
Pulse-density modulation technique offers a very effective and robust method to implement artificial neural network structures, because it mimics some biological features of neuron action. In this paper various Integrated Circuit (IC) implementations based on the pulse-density modulation technique are explored.

OBSTRUCTIVE SLEEP APNEA CLASSIFICATION WITH ARTIFICIAL NEURAL NETWORK BASED ON TWO SYNCHRONIC HRV SERIES

Biomedical Engineering: Applications, Basis and Communications, 2015
In the present study, "obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) patients" and "non-OSA patients" were classified into two groups using with two synchronic heart rate variability (HRV) series obtained from electrocardiography (ECG) and photoplethysmography (PPG) signals.
