Condensation of Synchronous Orbits on Complex Networks [PDF]

open access: yes, 2021
Abstract In this paper we study frequency synchronization of Kuramoto oscillators. We find a typical phenomenon of condensed synchronous orbits on single-layer or duplex networks through statistical mechanics analysis and numerical simulations, where the distribution of synchronous orbits is in a bell-shaped form.

Bose-Einstein Condensate in Synchronous Coordinates

open access: yesThe 2nd Electronic Conference on Universe, 2023
Analytical spherically symmetric static solution to the set of Einstein and Klein-Gordon equations in a synchronous reference frame is considered. In a synchronous reference frame, a static solution exists in the ultrarelativistic limit p=−ε/3. Pressure p is negative when matter tends to contract.

Evaluation of inertia resource for securing nadir frequency in HVDC interconnected system with high penetration of RES

open access: yesEnergy Reports, 2023
For power systems to manage a variety of renewable energy sources while securing system stability and reliability, more resources are required. However, due to the interaction of the frequency response resources, determining the appropriate resources for

Start-Up Control of a Synchronous Condenser Integrated HVDC System With Power Electronics Based Static Frequency Converter

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
The operation of thyristor-based high-voltage direct current (HVDC) system requires abundant reactive power support. Synchronous condensers, as rotating devices with large capacity of reactive power compensation, are generally utilized in HVDC systems ...

Research on modeling and a control scheme for synchronous condenser of flywheel energy storage system based on permanent magnet variable frequency speed regulation

open access: yesZhejiang dianli
To address the issue of insufficient grid inertia support caused by the large-scale integration of renewable energy, a synchronous condenser model of a flywheel energy storage system, along with a control scheme, is developed based on permanent magnet ...

Control Strategy of Dual Power Supply Excitation System for HTS Synchronous Condenser

open access: yesIEEE Access
High temperature superconducting (HTS) synchronous condenser is a novel large-capacity reactive power compensation device. Its reactive power compensation capacity and accuracy are mainly determined by the excitation system, making the excitation power ...

Survivin and Aurora Kinase A control cell fate decisions during mitosis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aurora A interacts with survivin during mitosis and regulates its centromeric role. Loss of Aurora A activity mislocalises survivin, the CPC and BubR1, leading to disruption of the spindle checkpoint and triggering premature mitotic exit, which we refer to as ‘mitotic slippage’.

Oligopolistic competition of gencos in reactive power ancillary service provisions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
The need for a market based approach for reactive power procurement has been recognized by FERC. Due to the localized characteristic of reactive power, regulatory mechanisms are necessary to mitigate the possibility of holding market power by generators.
