Synchronous-flux generator

Electrical Engineering, 1958
A new type of generator is described, the output frequency, phase angle, and torque angle of which are independent of the shaft speed. The generator is automatically in synchronism with the system voltage, and the breakers can be opened and closed without any synchronizing equipment.

Synchronous generator load angle estimation

Melecon 2010 - 2010 15th IEEE Mediterranean Electrotechnical Conference, 2010
In the paper is proposed a load angle estimation method for synchronous generators. The estimation method is based on synchronous generator corresponding voltage-current vector diagram and parameters of generator, transformer and transmission lines. In addition measurement of the load angle is presented.

SYNCHRONOUS GENERATOR

2003
The invention relates to a synchronous generator comprising a rotor (2) and a stator (3) for connection to a wind turbine. The inventive synchronous generator (1) comprises a rotor (2) and a stator (3) which both are composed of two or more modules (4, 6). In order to assemble said modules (4, 6), annular segments (4R, 6R) are stacked one on top of the

Generalized Synchronization in Chaotic Systems

Chaos, Solitons & Fractals, 1998
Let there be a drive system \(dx/dt=f(x), \;x\in \mathbb{R}^n\), and a function \(H: \mathbb{R}^n \rightarrow \mathbb{R}^m\). The goal is to construct a response system \(dy/dt = g(u(x),y)\) with the drive function \(u\) such that \(||y(t, y_0) - H(x(t,x_0))||\rightarrow 0\) as \(t \rightarrow \infty\) (generalized synchronization).

Generalized synchronization via nonlinear control

Chaos: An Interdisciplinary Journal of Nonlinear Science, 2008
In this paper, the generalized synchronization problem of drive-response systems is investigated. Using the drive-response concept and the nonlinear control theory, a control law is designed to achieve the generalized synchronization of chaotic systems.

Generalized synchronization languages

1999
Generalized synchronization languages are a model used to describe the behaviors of distributed applications whose synchronization constraints are expressed by generalized synchronization expressions -- an extension of synchronization expressions. Generalized synchronization languages were conjectured by Salomaa and Yu to be characterized by a semi ...

Synchronous Generator With Embedded Brushless Synchronous Exciter

IEEE Transactions on Energy Conversion, 2019
A new brushless and permanent magnet less synchronous generator is reported in this work. Contrary to traditional brushless synchronous generators that use an extra machine along with rotating diode rectifier, the proposed machine houses the main and the exciter machine in the same frame.

Synchronous Converters and Motor-Generators

Transactions of the American Institute of Electrical Engineers, 1905
At the present time the alternating-current motor in a motor-generator set of 100-kw. capacity or more is practically always a synchronous motor; an induction motor is rarely used for this purpose. The reason for this is threefold: the lagging current taken by an induction motor makes the motor undesirable at the end of a long line; from an operating ...
