Syngas composition study

Frontiers of Energy and Power Engineering in China, 2009
The syngas composition characteristic was investigated in the real slurry-feed gasifier using a detailed gas phase reaction mechanism. The results show that the time for syngas to reach equilibrium is much shorter than the residence time for slurry feed entrained-flow gasifiers, indicating a gas phase species partial equilibrium state.

Syngas

2016
In this chapter, various carbonous raw materials, from biomass to fossil fuels (ie, coal, crude oil, and natural gas) are evaluated for the production of syngas. Syngas refers either to the mixture of nitrogen and hydrogen, the kind of mixture needed for ammonia production, or carbon monoxide/hydrogen (CO:H2) mixtures, the building blocks for the ...

Syngas Conditioning

2011
Publisher Summary This chapter focuses on the processing technologies required to allow operation of polymer electrolyte membrane (PEM) fuel cells fuelled by reformate, including the final cleanup steps (PrOX, SMET), which are uniquely required for PEM.

Syngas Dual-Fuelling

2018
Biomass can be converted into a useful source of energy through gasification. The gasification product, which is a mixture of different gases, is known as synthesis gas or syngas. The composition of syngas may fluctuate due to many factors such as operational errors of the gasifier as well as the type of feedstock used or may be due to the feeding rate

Characteristics of Biogas and Syngas Combustion [PDF]

open access: possible2019 7th International Renewable and Sustainable Energy Conference (IRSEC), 2019
Biomass, one of the autonomous sectors of renewable energy, is characterized by its neutrality in CO 2 emissions during its life cycle and by a low content of nitrogen and sulfur which results in low emissions of NOx and SO 2 . This paper reports some numerical results of characteristics of biogas and syngas flames. Numerical calculations are performed

Syngas Oxidation Mechanism

Combustion, Explosion, and Shock Waves, 2010
A comprehensive analysis of synthesis gas (syngas) oxidation kinetics in wide ranges of temperature, pressure, fuel-to-air equivalence ratio, and fuel composition is performed on the basis of the reaction mechanism of syngas ignition and combustion in air.

Design of a syngas infrastructure

2008
Abstract A cluster feeding on synthesis gas produced by gasification would create feedstock flexibility to existing petrochemical clusters, which is key to their continued prosperity in times of increasing uncertainty about global crude oil production and availability.

Direct conversion of syngas to aromatics

Chemical Communications, 2017
A composite catalyst combining the partially reducible ZnCrOx with zeolite ZSM-5 enables direct conversion of syngas to aromatics, with a selectivity to aromatics reaching 73.9% at a single pass CO conversion of 16.0%.

Electrocatalytic Conversion of CO2 to Syngas

2021
Technologies for the capture and subsequent conversion of CO2 into useful products have received significant attention in recent years. Among the conversion technologies available today, the electroreduction of CO2 is particularly interesting because of three main reasons.
