Results from the backward elimination procedure for non-synonymous and splice site variants in VPS13B.

open access: yes, 2014
(a) The change in p value is shown as variants are being removed one by one (when the backward elimination procedure is run once on all non-synonymous variants).

Induction of Methuosis in Breast Cancer Stem Cells by a Cobalt(III) Complex Evokes Immunotherapeutic Response

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
Cancer stem cells (CSCs) drive metastasis, relapse and resist conventional apoptosis‐inducing chemotherapies. We report a cobalt(III)‐cyclam complex with pyrene and diflunisal moieties that reduces the viability of breast CSCs at low micromolar concentrations.

Extending the ATP9A‐Related Phenotypic Spectrum: Indication of Schizophrenia Susceptibility

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Medical Genetics Part B: Neuropsychiatric Genetics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT ATP9A, which belongs to the P4‐ATPase family of proteins, is involved in the efficient transport of vesicles from the Golgi apparatus to the plasma membrane, as well as the release of extracellular vesicles from human cells. In 2021, a loss‐of‐function variant of this gene was identified as being associated with a recessive neurodevelopmental ...

(a) Median rank of causal variants among the non-synonymous variants for two disease models (M1 and M2) and three values for the NS:S ratio (R = {0.6, 1.0, 1.4}).

open access: yes, 2014
The proportion of causal variants in the region is 20%. HM refers to the original hierarchical model with ranking of the causal variants among the non-synonymous variants, based on their estimated effects; BE refers to the backward elimination procedure ...
