We describe the case of a 36-year-old man who presented with chest pain and a mass lesion occupying 2/3rds of the left hemithorax on a chest radiograph. A malignant pulmonary tumor was suspected, and after all diagnostic procedures, spindle-cell carcinoma was considered.

We report a case of synovial sarcoma of the heart in a 14-year-old boy, who presented with signs of mild generalized illness and rapidly progressed to haemodynamic collapse. On operation the tumour was attached to the tricuspid valve, away from the atrioventricular node.

Synovial sarcomas of the pericardium are very rare. This report describes the case of a 61-year-old man presenting with increasing dyspnea on exertion and recurrent pericardial effusions. Echocardiography, computed tomography, and magnetic resonance imaging demonstrated a 6 x 4-cm pericardial mass lying predominantly over the left atrium.

The present study describes the clinicopathologic, immunohistochemical, and molecular analysis of 7 cases of SS occurring in the kidney.
