Crowdsourcing synset relations with Genus-Species-Match

2015 Artificial Intelligence and Natural Language and Information Extraction, Social Media and Web Search FRUCT Conference (AINL-ISMW FRUCT), 2015
Enabling a domain-specific lexical resource is useful for improving the performance of a natural language processing system. However, such resources may be represented in the form of glossaries—terms provided with their sense definitions. Despite the problem of integrating such domain-specific glossaries into more sophisticated general purpose ...

Concept Space Synset Manager Tool

Proceedings of the Seventh Global Wordnet Conference, 2014
The IndoWordNet 1 Consortium consists of member institutions developing WordNet using the expansion approach. The WordNets developed using expansion approach are very much influenced by the source language and may not reflect the richness of the target ...

Language-specific Synsets and Challenges in Synset Linkage in Urdu WordNet

, 2017
The Urdu WordNet is being developed following the process used to develop the Hindi WordNet by using the Expansion Approach. This paper, in the first part, presents some of our experiences that we gathered in the process of building the Urdu WordNet as a part of the IndoWordNet.

Information retrieval in Telugu language using Synset relationships

2013 15th International Conference on Advanced Computing Technologies (ICACT), 2013
Information Technology brought many applications of Information Retrieval as simple as possible through Web and other Digital Information Access Environment. There is a demand in building Applications of IR in Local languages, which allows common people with minimal knowledge in at least one language to avail the information services.

Propagation of emotions, arousal and polarity in WordNet using Heterogeneous Structured Synset Embeddings

Global WordNet Conference, 2019
In this paper we present a novel method for emotive propagation in a wordnet based on a large emotive seed. We introduce a sense-level emotive lexicon annotated with polarity, arousal and emotions.

Towards Interval Version of Fuzzy Synsets

2016
WordNet-like Lexical Databases (WLDs) group English words into synsets, being utilized in several text mining applications. Synsets were also open to criticism, because while synset members (wordsenses) are, in practice, considered as compeers, yet in theory not all of them represent the synset meaning with a same degree.

Synset Boulevard: A Synthetic Image Dataset for VMMR*

IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation
We present and discuss the Synset Boulevard dataset, designed for the task of surveillance-nature vehicle make and model recognition (VMMR)—to the best of our knowledge the first entirely synthetically generated large-scale VMMR image dataset.

Synset Signset Germany: a Synthetic Dataset for German Traffic Sign Recognition

2024 IEEE 27th International Conference on Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITSC)
In this paper, we present a synthesis pipeline and dataset for training / testing data in the task of traffic sign recognition that combines the advantages of data-driven and analytical modeling: GAN-based texture generation enables data-driven dirt and ...

Inclusion of Wikipedia, a language specific knowledge resource to generate and update a synset in WordNet

International Journal of Technology, Policy and Management, 2019
Lack of competent lexical resources is a ubiquitous fact that negatively affects the development of natural language processing tools for not so widely spoken languages.

Dimentional sentiment analysis by synsets and sense definitions

2016 International Conference on Asian Language Processing (IALP), 2016
This paper proposed several approaches to predict sentiment feature values by information provided in semantic resources. The rating of a sentiment feature of a target word was predicted by weighted averaging of similar words in WordNet or Cilin whose sets of senses greatly overlapped with the sense set of the target.
