Design and Analysis of Direct Digital Frequency Synthesizer
2008 First International Conference on Emerging Trends in Engineering and Technology, 2008This paper consists of design and analysis of direct digital frequency synthesizer (DDFS). Its key elements are: phase accumulator, a phase to amplitude converter (sine ROM) also called look-up table (LUT), a digital to analog converter (DAC) and a filter. The phase values are generated using modulo 2N overflowing property of a N-bit phase accumulator.

Design of frequency synthesizer in frequency-hopping transceiver
2013 IEEE 10th International Conference on ASIC, 2013Several key techniques of PLL-type (Phase-Locked Loop) frequency synthesizer for frequency-hopping transceiver are studied. Its structure is analyzed and the main parameters are proposed. A monolithic LC-tuned voltage controlled oscillator (LC-VCO) with low phase noise is fabricated in a TSMC 0.18μm RF (radio frequency) CMOS technology.
