NanoMOF‐Based Multilevel Anti‐Counterfeiting by a Combination of Visible and Invisible Photoluminescence and Conductivity

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study presents novel anti‐counterfeiting tags with multilevel security features that utilize additional disguise features. They combine luminescent nanosized Ln‐MOFs with conductive polymers to multifunctional mixed‐matrix membranes and powder composites. The materials exhibit visible/NIR emission and matrix‐based conductivity even as black bodies.

IR diagnostics of embedded jets: velocity resolved observations of the HH34 and HH1 jets

open access: yes, 2008
We present VLT-ISAAC medium resolution spectroscopy of the HH34 and HH1 jets. Our aim is to derive the kinematics and the physical parameters and to study how they vary with jet velocity.

Numerical Study on the Impact of Synthetic Jets at Flow Separation Points on the Wake of a Square Cylinder

open access: yesBuildings
To investigate the application of synthetic jet technology in the control of the wake flow around a square cylinder, a two-dimensional numerical simulation study was conducted using CFD and the Reynolds-Averaged Navier-Stokes (RANS) method to simulate ...

Experimental and CFD Characterization of a Double-Orifice Synthetic Jet Actuator for Flow Control

open access: yesActuators, 2021
The paper presents a joint experimental and numerical characterization of double-orifice synthetic jet actuators for flow control. Hot-wire measurements of the flow field generated by the device into a quiescent air environment were collected.

Synthetic Jets in Cross-Flow [PDF]

open access: yesAIAA Journal, 2005
Results of an experimental investigation on synthetic jets from round orifices with and without cross-flow are presented. Jet Reynolds number up to 46,000 with a fully turbulent approach boundary layer, and Stokes number up to 400. are covered. The threshold of stroke length for synthetic jet formation.

Off-Axis Afterglow Light Curves from High-Resolution Hydrodynamical Jet Simulations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Numerical jet simulations serve a valuable role in calculating gamma-ray burst afterglow emission beyond analytical approximations. Here we present the results of high resolution 2D simulations of decelerating relativistic jets performed using the RAM ...
