Sustainable Materials Design With Multi‐Modal Artificial Intelligence
Critical mineral scarcity, high embodied carbon, and persistent pollution from materials processing intensify the need for sustainable materials design. This review frames the problem as multi‐objective optimization under heterogeneous, high‐dimensional evidence and highlights multi‐modal AI as an enabling pathway.

Escape of methane gas from the seabed along the West Spitsbergen continental margin [PDF]
More than 250 plumes of gas bubbles have been discovered emanating from the seabed of the West Spitsbergen continental margin, in a depth range of 150-400 m, at and above the present upper limit of the gas hydrate stability zone (GHSZ).

A new data‐efficient framework combining DFT calculations, a neural network model, and automated graph analysis of catalytic reaction networks is proposed and applied to CO2 hydrogenation on transition metal nanoparticles. The analysis shows how efficient C2 oxygenate production requires a balance between CHx formation, C–C coupling, protonation, and ...

Methane emission rate studies in a northern West Virginia mine [PDF]
"Methane emission rates were studied in a Pittsburgh coalbed mine in northern West Virginia. A fullface boring-type continuous miner, equipped with a methane monitor, was used in the development of a set of eight main headings, one side of which was near

Conceptual illustration of a Global Ecosystem Methane Observing System (GEM‐OS) integrating satellites, aircraft, atmospheric networks, and ecosystem measurements to quantify methane emissions from anthropogenic and natural sources. The multi‐scale observing framework improves source attribution, reduces uncertainty in regional methane budgets, and ...

A nanobiohybrid vaccine was designed by constructing a hydrogen‐bonded organic framework coencapsulated with glucose oxidase (GOx) and tumor antigens. This nanobiohybrid vaccine executed a GOx‐catalyzed enzyme reaction that disrupted glucose metabolism and induced redox imbalance in dendritic cells, leading to autophagy‐dependent antigen cross ...

Emergent methane mitigation and removal approaches: A review
Early control of atmospheric methane is essential to achieving a 1.5 °C warming pathway. This paper considers a range of academic and gray literature reviews of methane control techniques, as a starting point for a more comprehensive, integrative review.
