As examples, several versions of the «path average rain rate technique» and a new method developed by Crane are tested using 10-year rain rate data bases from several Canadian locations.

Measurement of time-varying rain rate has been performed in Surabaya using an optical disdrometer. The results suggest that consecutive samples of rain rate in Surabaya possesses higher correlation than those measured in such non-tropical sites like Barcelona.

2009Estimasi redaman hujan Synthetic Storm Technique (SST) multilink pada outage probability 0,1%-0,01%mendekati redaman hujan ITU-R P.530-10 sedangkan pada outage kurang dari 0,01% redaman hujan SSTmultilink sangat besar dibandingkan ITU-R P.530-10 memberikan fade margin sebesar 7 dB.
