Modeling of Physical–Chemical and Thermomechanical Properties of Glasses From Recycled Waste

open access: yesInternational Journal of Applied Glass Science, Volume 17, Issue 2, April 2026.
ABSTRACT This research focuses on understanding the high‐temperature phase evolution occurring during the vitrification of heterogeneous construction and demolition wastes (CDWs). The aim of this project is to transform this widely distributed and mostly unused waste stream into a homogeneous, engineered, glass‐based material with predictable ...

Biomass‐Derived Cu, S, and N‐Doped Biochar as a Green Electrocatalyst for CO2 Reduction to Formate and Acetate

open access: yesChemElectroChem, Volume 13, Issue 6, 17 March 2026.
Cu, S, and N‐doped biochar electrocatalysts are prepared from waste pine needles through a green and scalable pyrolysis route. Copper loading and heteroatom doping are tuned to control structural defects and active Cu+ sites. The optimized catalyst promotes efficient CO2 adsorption and CC coupling, achieving enhanced acetate selectivity and energy ...

Ethane Chlorination Toward Vinyl Chloride Synthesis: Mechanistic and Catalytic Perspectives

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, Volume 138, Issue 10, 2 March 2026.
Ethane chlorination is emerging as a promising low‐carbon route to vinyl chloride monomer, yet it remains academically underexplored due to the complexity of radical chemistry. As the first focused Minireview on this topic, it offers forward‐looking mechanistic analysis, unveils catalyst evolution pathways, and defines research priorities to accelerate
