A simple eco-friendly approach for the hasty synthesis of stable, potent and benign silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) using seagrass, Syringodium isoetifolium was proposed and described here. The UV-Vis, DLS, XRD, AFM, FESEM, EDX and HRTEM analysis highly characterized and confirmed the presence of polydispersed (2-50nm) spherical and stable AgNPs.

Utilization of Algal Turf Scrubber Biomass in Sea Urchin (Lytechinus variegatus) Diets
This study evaluated the growth indices in sea urchins fed varying levels of algal turf scrubber (ATS) biomass for the partial replacement of dietary menhaden fishmeal. Juvenile Lytechinus variegatus were fed four formulated diets with differentiating levels of ATS biomass (10%, 10%, 20%, and 50%).

Distribusi Jenis Lamun Dihubungkan dengan Sebaran Nutrien Perairan di Padang Lamun Teluk Awur Jepara
Seagrass meadow ecosystem as one of the ecosystems in coastal areas has high productivity. The production process of seagrass stands as a result of photosynthesis produces relatively high seagrass biomass.

Seasonal variability and seagrass traits affect methane fluxes in a subtropical meadow
These results indicate that within‐species more so than between‐species trait variability drives the direction and magnitude of CH4 fluxes in seagrass meadows. The authors identified a trade‐off where seagrass biomass is often associated with enhanced sediment carbon storage, but in this study, plant size promoted CH4 production, potentially offsetting

Morphometric variability of seagrass species in a marine-protected area of Tomia Island [PDF]
Seagrass meadows are vital coastal ecosystems that deliver various ecological services, including nutrient and sediment filtration, nursery habitats for fish and shellfish, and carbon sequestration through blue carbon storage. Their remarkable phenotypic

Leaf growth of the seagrass Syringodium filiforme in outer Florida Bay, Florida
Leaf growth of the seagrass Syringodium filiforme (Kütz., 1860) was determined using a new technique based on the growth of emergent leaves (EL method) and compared to the more labor intensive repeated measurements (RM) and demographic allometric age reconstruction techniques (DA).

Seagrass epiphyte blooms potentially have important economic and ecological consequences in Tampa Bay, one of the Gulf of Mexico`s largest estuaries. As part of a Tampa Bay pilot study to monitor the impact of environmental stresses, precise characterization of epiphyte diversity is required for efficient management of affected resources.
