Pictorial modeling of dynamic systems

System Dynamics Review, 1993
AbstractThe world may be considered to consist of interacting objects. An object‐oriented view is missing, however, in traditional system dynamics models. An attempt to develop a simulation methodology based on this view and using extended cellular automata principles is documented in this article.

A System Dynamics Model for Chemotherapy

Proceedings of the 10th International Conference on Informatics and Systems, 2016
Chemotherapy is one of the most common approaches in cancer treatment. The problem with chemotherapy is that it does not only kill the cancerous cells, but the therapy affects badly the healthy cells as well. Accumulation of chemotherapy drugs with repeated doses in the patient's body leads to increasing toxicity in the whole body.

Models of dynamical systems

2003
Dynamical systems can be modelled from different viewpoints. This chapter summarises the main notions. Each of the succeeding chapters uses one of these models for fault diagnosis and fault-tolerant control.

Modeling and identification of dynamic systems

IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics, 1985
The problem of identifying system parameters deals with the evaluation of coefficients in the known mathematical model from measured input-output data. Moreover, the identification problem can be reduced to a parameter estimation that uses the tools of estimation theory.

Modeling of a dynamic RFID system

2013 IEEE Symposium on Computers and Communications (ISCC), 2013
The paper presents a new approach to the simulation of RFID dynamic systems. The designed simulation model is strictly based on the system principle of operation being in accordance with the standard ISO 18000-6. Therefore it is applicable to a great number of existing RFID systems.

Model system for slow dynamics

Physical Review Letters, 1991
Systems whose dynamics are described by a quasilogarithmic or stretched-exponential time dependence are usually fitted by models which use disorder to create a distribution of relaxation times. Here we describe a model which decays slowly towards equilibrium but does not require disorder to provide the slow dynamics. The model consists of a spin system
