Air gap influence on the vibro-acoustic response of Solar Arrays during launch [PDF]
One of the primary elements on the space missions is the electrical power subsystem, for which the critical component is the solar array. The behaviour of these elements during the ascent phase of the launch is critical for avoiding damages on the ...

Security Assessment of System Frequency Response
Low inertia power systems experience more extreme frequency dynamics immediately after a disturbance. A higher rate of change of frequency (ROCOF) contributes to a lower frequency nadir which could trigger load shedding schemes. Active power injections in a time frame of two seconds or less are necessary to maintain frequency stability.

An analytical approach for power system frequency stability evaluation
Recent years have seen high penetration of renewable energies, which have significantly reduced the inertia of bulk power systems. As a result, the frequency behaviour of power systems is becoming more complex.

On Frequency Response for Nonlinear Systems
In this paper we define a "generalized" frequency response for ta nonlinear input-output map Sx0 as the mapping. Realisation results relative to linear and bilinear systems are presented. Also sufficient conditions for L2 stability of bilinear systems are derived.

On power system frequency control in emergency conditions\ud [PDF]
Frequency regulation in off-normal conditions has been an important problem in electric power system design/operation and is becoming much more significant today due to the increasing size, changing structure and complexity of interconnected power ...

The design of periodic excitations for dynamic system identification [PDF]
System identification techniques are developed for modelling linear and nonlinear systems. The main results of the work are concerned with the design and utilisation of periodic perturbation signals in general areas of time- and frequency-domain ...

Frequency-Power Control of VSWTG for Improved Frequency Regulation [PDF]
With increasing wind energy penetration and impending grid codes, it is important to enable wind-based power plants to provide sensitive frequency response in grids that may experience irregular frequency fluctuations with noise induced.
