Differential expression of cancer‐related genes supports prediction of poor response to first‐line treatments in T‐ALL pediatric patients with high minimal residual disease

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In the present work, we have identified a transcriptional signature based on the differential expression of six genes (BCL2&MAST4, HSH2D&LAT2, METRN&PITPNM2) that would facilitate the early detection of T‐cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T‐ALL) patients prone to a poor treatment response and could be implemented at diagnosis, along with other risk ...

CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.

Modeling traceability in system of systems

Proceedings of the Symposium on Applied Computing, 2017
An important aspect in SoS is the realization of the concerns in different systems that work together. Identifying and locating these concerns is important to orchestrate the overall activities and hereby to achieve the overall goal of the SoS. Moreover, concerns in SoS are rarely stable and need to evolve in different ways and different times in ...

Modeling system of systems acquisition

2012 7th International Conference on System of Systems Engineering (SoSE), 2012
System of systems (SoS) acquisition is a dynamic process of integrating independent systems. This paper describes modeling of the SoS acquisition environment based on the Wave Process Model. Agent-based modeling methodology is utilized to abstract behavioral aspects of the acquisition process.

Contribution to system of systems modeling

2015 10th System of Systems Engineering Conference (SoSE), 2015
Modeling a system of systems, for supervision purpose, is a complex issue influenced by security constraints more important than those of its component systems. This work proposes a hierarchical model of system of systems based on Hypergraphs and Constraint Satisfaction Problems.

Modeling complex systems of systems with Phantom System Models

Systems Engineering, 2012
Abstract Complex systems are commonly composed of interconnected and inter‐ and intradependent subsystems, which in their essence constitute systems of systems with multiple functions, operations, and stakeholders.

Multilevel Modeling of System of Systems

IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics: Systems, 2018
A system of systems (SoS) is a large-scale integrated system. In an SoS, many complex independent systems work collectively for a common mission. Modeling of SoS is challenging due to their large-scale and complexity of the constituent systems. In this paper, generic modeling of a class of SoS, namely mechatronic systems, is proposed based on bond ...

A conceptual model of system of systems

Proceedings of the Second International Workshop on the Swarm at the Edge of the Cloud, 2015
In this paper, we present the essential features of CPS Systems of Systems (SoS) and we develop a conceptual, rigorous model for such systems that can support the development of analysis and synthesis tools. We also address issues related to safety critical and secure applications and we outline how to cope with failures of SoS.

UAF for system of systems modeling

2015 10th System of Systems Engineering Conference (SoSE), 2015
Organizations are changing their emphasis from “We need a new system” to “We need to achieve a specific outcome.” As these outcomes become more difficult to define and the associated systems more complex, the management, modeling and simulation of these SoS becomes equally challenging.
