Referencing lung volume for measurements of respiratory system compliance in infants

Pediatric Pulmonology, 1993
AbstractWe propose a method for measurements of respiratory system compliance (Cm) in spontaneously breathing infants, which circumvents the potential problems introduced by the breathby‐breath oscillations in the end‐expiratory level, i.e., functional respiratory capacity (FRC).

A referencing system to analyse performances of French organic rabbit farms

Organic Agriculture, 2020
A referencing system to collect and analyse the performance of French organic rabbit farms was created using an Excel application. Reproduction data were compiled for six farms over 3 years of production (2015–2017). Does were housed in movable cages on pasture or in individual paddocks, and the livestock size averaged 33 does and varied largely ...

Translating Transportation Data between Linear Referencing Systems of Dissimilar Resolution

Transportation Research Record: Journal of the Transportation Research Board, 2013
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation uses two linear referencing systems (LRSs) for complete mapping of crashes statewide: the State Trunk Network (STN), which represents only state routes, and the Wisconsin Information System for Local Roads (WISLR), which includes all roads but gives specific detail for local routes.

Requirements for Referencing of the MKM Neuronavigation System

1998
The localization method of the MKM neuronavigation system is based on a laser-controlled distance measurement through the microscope optic, which is mounted to a six-axis robotic arm. Due to its optical guidance, it differs from other neuronavigation systems and provides the possibility of continuous navigation during microscopic neurosurgery.

Geolocal – A New System for Geo-Referencing: Analysis of Base Distribution

Journal of Navigation, 2020
Geolocal is a new navigation system conceived and patented in Brazil, whose purpose is to be independent of other global navigation satellite systems (GNSS). It has an ‘inverted-GNSS’ configuration with at least four bases on the ground at known geodesic position coordinates and a repeater in space. Simulations were performed to determine the precision

Stability analysis of non-time referenced Internet-based telerobotic systems

Robotics and Autonomous Systems, 2000
Abstract This paper explores a new method for action synchronization and control of telerobotic systems. The significance of the method is that it can effectively deal with the random time delay existing in the communication channel, such as the Internet. In addition, the result is independent of human operator.
