Stability and Stabilization of Systems with Time Delay

IEEE Control Systems, 2011
Time-delays are important components of many dynamical systems that describe coupling or interconnection between dynamics, propagation, or transport phenomena in shared environments, in heredity, and in competition in population dynamics. This monograph addresses the problem of stability analysis and the stabilisation of dynamical systems subjected to ...

Stability and stabilization of implicit systems

Proceedings of the 39th IEEE Conference on Decision and Control (Cat. No.00CH37187), 2002
This paper is concerned with stability and stabilization of implicit systems. Stability criteria are provided in terms of the Kronecker form, Lyapunov equation and inequality and conditions on extended rank and invertibility of the system pencil. Then stabilization of implicit systems via interconnection is considered based on the notion of initial ...

Stabilization of LPV systems

42nd IEEE International Conference on Decision and Control (IEEE Cat. No.03CH37475), 2004
We study in this paper the static state-feedback stabilization of linear finite dimensional systems depending polynomially upon a finite set of real, bounded, parameters. These parameters are a priori unknown, but available in real-time for control. We state two main results.

Stabilization of Gyroscopic Systems

ZAMM, 2001
The authors consider systems of singularly perturbed linear ordinary differential equations which can be considered as equations of linear autonomous gyroscopic systems with stabilizing control. The results in the paper are mainly of methodological interest.

Stability and Stabilization of Networked Control Systems

2010
The presence of a communication network in a control loop induces many imperfections such as varying transmission delays, varying sampling/transmissionintervals, packet loss, communication constraints and quantization effects, which can degrade the control performance significantly and even lead to instability.

Stabilization of Switched Systems

2006 9th International Conference on Control, Automation, Robotics and Vision, 2006
In this paper, we consider the stabilization of switched system with controllable subsystems under arbitrary switching law and the stabilization of its perturbed system when the perturbation satisfies certain condition .

Stability of Manpower Systems

Journal of the Operational Research Society, 1992
Summary: Members of an organization belong to one of the grades \(\{1,2,\dots,k\}\), and movements between grades are governed by a substochastic matrix \(P\). The model can be deterministic, stochastic, or partially stochastic; and we may or may not insist that the total size be restored to a fixed quantity each year.

Stability in referral systems

Multiagent and Grid Systems: An International Journal of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, 2009
We evaluate the effect of referral mechanisms on stability of agent populations using service providers. We consider a pool of service providers whose performance varies inversely with load. An agent's satisfaction with a service provider depends on a private function of the performance of the provider.

On the Stability of Rotating Systems

ZAMM - Journal of Applied Mathematics and Mechanics / Zeitschrift für Angewandte Mathematik und Mechanik, 1995
The author studies the Lyapunov stability of a linear system of differential equations describing mechanical system with gyroscopic forces (that occur, for example, in a rotating shaft problem). Almost complete stability analysis is presented. Special attention is paid to the case when angular velocity (of the rotating shaft) tends to infinity.
