Elastography: A systems approach
International Journal of Imaging Systems and Technology, 1997We present a review of elastography from a systems point of view. We show that elastography can be viewed as a cascade of two distinct processes. The first process involves the mapping of the distribution of local elastic moduli in the target into a distribution of local longitudinal strains.

Biocompatibility — A System Approach
1989The use of more than 2 billion biomaterial devices per year in therapeutic medicine elucidates the magnitude of one of the biggest problems today’s medicine is dealing with. Clinical application of biomaterials has by far exceeded in both quality and quantity our knowledge about the interaction between the biomaterial and the human organism (1).
