Intervention in School and Clinic, 2012
The majority of school districts implementing response to intervention use a systemwide, multitier model of delivery. This article describes the common features of multitier models and discusses the emerging evidence of their effectiveness. In addition, specific factors that schools should consider to enhance effective implementation of systemic ...

Forward collision warning system impact
Traffic Injury Prevention, 2018The objective of this research is to use historical crash data to evaluate the potential benefits of both high- and low-speed automatic emergency braking (AEB) with forward collision warning (FCW) systems.Crash data from the NHTSA's NASS-General Estimates System (GES) and Fatality Analysis Reporting System (FARS) databases were categorized to classify ...

Physician Extenders Impact Trauma Systems
The Journal of Trauma: Injury, Infection, and Critical Care, 2005The implementation of revised surgical resident work hours has led many teaching hospitals to integrate health care extenders into the trauma service. We undertook this review to assess the effectiveness of these individuals in meeting the goals of the work hour restrictions and whether they impact other hospital and patient outcomes.During the year ...

Cancer, 1995
Although the Bethesda System provides concise, specific descriptions for classifying cervical cytology, its usefulness has been questioned in the United States and abroad. The author attempted to evaluate the impact of the Bethesda System on cervical screening and subsequent management decisions.A MedLine search provided statistical information for ...

Environmental Impact Assessment System
2021Development and environmental protection are often in conflict, and the purpose of an environmental impact assessment (EIA) is to contribute toward the decision-making process by resolving and preventing conflicts between the two (Environmental Impact Assessment Ordinance 1998).

We shall examine some aspects of impact theory for solids [60, 80, 103, 115], limiting the analysis to those points necessary to understand the processes occurring in vibro-impact systems, and generate mathematical models for them. We shall mainly be interested in the force changes and the kinematic characteristics of the motion of solids and their ...

Plane-impact parameters in stepped impact systems
Journal of Mining Science, 2000Expressions are obtained for the parameters of plane longitudinal impact in rod-striker and rod-instrument system, with internal boundary surfaces. Relations that allow a system of coefficients taking the configuration of stepped rods of any form into account to be calculated on the basis of the wave equations are established.
