Some Modified Bifurcation Problems with Application to Imperfection Sensitivity in Buckling [PDF]
The branching theory of solutions of certain nonlinear elliptic partial differential equations is developed, when the nonlinear term is perturbed from unforced to forced.

Approximation with harmonic and generalized harmonic polynomials in the partition of unity method
The aim of the paper is twofold. In the first part, we present an analysis of the approximation properties of "complete systems" , that is, systems of functions which satisfy a given differential equation and are dense in the set of all solutions.

On the adjoint of a symmetric operator [PDF]
In general it is a non-trivial task to determine the adjoint S* of an unbounded symmetric operator S in a Hilbert or Krein space. We propose a method to specify S* explicitly which makes use of two boundary mappings that satisfy an abstract Green's ...

This study presents an infrared monitoring approach for direct laser interference patterning (DLIP) combined with a convolutional neural network (CNN). Thermal emission data captured during structuring are used to predict surface topography parameters.

A numerical–experimental framework is developed for characterizing multi‐matrix fiber‐reinforced polymers (MM‐FRPs) combining epoxy and polyurethane matrices. Harmonic bending tests are integrated with finite element model updating (FEMU) to simultaneously identify elastic and viscoelastic material parameters.

Uniform estimates for positive solutions of a class of semilinear elliptic equations and related Liouville and one-dimensional symmetry results [PDF]
We consider the semilinear elliptic equation $\Delta u = W'(u)$ with Dirichlet boundary conditions in a smooth, possibly unbounded, domain $\Omega \subset \mathbb{R}^n$. Under suitable assumptions on the potential $W$, including the double well potential

Discrete Painlevé equations from Y-systems [PDF]
We consider T-systems and Y-systems arising from cluster mutations applied to quivers that have the property of being periodic under a sequence of mutations.

This work deals with boundary value problems of the type \(Re[\overline{a(t)} w(t)]=\gamma (t)\) and \(w^+(t)=g(t) w^-(t)+h(t)\) for the general form of the systems of nonlinear equations in two dimensional domains.

This study demonstrates how optimizing laser power, scanning speed, and hatching distance in laser powder bed fusion can boost the productivity of Inconel 718 manufacturing by up to 29% while maintaining mechanical integrity. The work delivers a validated process window and cost–time analysis, offering industry‐ready guidelines for efficient additive ...
