Systolic trees and systolic language recognition by tree automata

open access: yesTheoretical Computer Science, 1983
AbstractRecently K. Culik II, J. Gruska, A. Salomaa and D. Wood have studied the language recognition capabilities of certain types of systolically operating networks of processors. Here their model for systolic VLSI trees is formalized in terms of standard tree automaton theory, and we show how some known facts about recognizable forests and tree ...

Subclinical cardiac alterations and cardiometabolic profile in adolescents with newly diagnosed polycystic ovary syndrome: A cross‐sectional comparative echocardiographic study

open access: yesInternational Journal of Gynecology &Obstetrics, EarlyView.
Abstract Objective While cardiometabolic comorbidities have been well established in adults with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), it remains unclear whether the early signs of cardiovascular morbidity emerge during adolescence. This study aimed to investigate whether metabolic and cardiovascular alterations begin in adolescents with PCOS.

The derivation of systolic computations

open access: yesScience of Computer Programming, 1990
A method is presented by which systolic computations can be derived from formal specifications. These derivations proceed in a calculational manner, originating from input/output relations and guided by performance considerations. The resulting program is a network of communicating cells that are expressed in a CSP-like program notation. The derivation

Compressed Sensing‐Accelerated 3.0 T Noncontrast‐Enhanced CMRA: Diagnostic Efficacy for Coronary Artery Stenosis

open access: yesiRADIOLOGY, EarlyView.
This bar chart illustrates the diagnostic performance of coronary magnetic resonance angiography (CMRA) for detecting ≥ 50.00% coronary artery stenosis at the segment, vessel, and patient levels, including sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value, negative predictive value, and accuracy.

Evaluation of cardiac magnetic resonance imaging parameters in cancer patients receiving chekpoint-inhibitor therapy

open access: yesКлинический разбор в общей медицине
Against the background of immune antitumour therapy, the number of documented cases of cardiovascular complications is increasing. These studies emphasise the ability of contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging in vivo to provide detailed information

Asymptomatic Giant Right Ventricular Myxoma in an Adolescent: A Rare Case Report With Favorable Surgical Outcome

open access: yesJournal of Clinical Ultrasound, EarlyView.
We report a 13‐year‐old female with a giant right ventricular myxoma extending to the pulmonary trunk. The tumor was diagnosed by multimodal imaging and completely resected, with favorable short‐term outcomes. ABSTRACT Right ventricular (RV) myxomas account for < 5% of cardiac myxomas and are often asymptomatic, easily overlooked.

Normal range of blood pressure in 7-11 year old children in Zahedan

open access: yesMajallah-i Dānishgāh-i ̒Ulūm-i Pizishkī-i Bābul, 2003
Background and Objective: Normal blood pressure varies based on age, sex, height and weight, however it is necessary to use standard references of evaluate the values. The objective of this study was to determine the rate of normal blood pressure in 7-11

Impact on variation in the direction of cuff bladder on blood pressure readings

open access: yesJournal of the Practice of Cardiovascular Sciences, 2019
Introduction: Elevated blood pressure (BP)/hypertension contributes significantly to global morbidity and mortality. It is a silent killer; therefore, earlier diagnosis is imperative. A simple instrument called sphygmomanometer measures BP.

Performance of Free‐Running Cardiac and Respiratory Motion‐Resolved Whole‐Heart 5D MRI in Congenital Heart Disease Patients Using a Gadolinium Enhanced Fast‐Interrupted Steady‐State Sequence

open access: yesJournal of Magnetic Resonance Imaging, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background The performance of 5D imaging in CHD has been previously demonstrated using ferumoxytol rather than gadolinium. Purpose To evaluate the performance of gadolinium enhanced 5D MRI relative to 2D and 3D MRI in CHD patients. Study Type Retrospective.

Myocardial Perfusion Defects in Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Mutation Carriers

open access: yesJournal of the American Heart Association, EarlyView., 2021
Background Impaired myocardial blood flow (MBF) in the absence of epicardial coronary disease is a feature of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM). Although most evident in hypertrophied or scarred segments, reduced MBF can occur in apparently normal segments.
