On the Szeged and the Laplacian Szeged spectrum of a graph

open access: yesLinear Algebra and its Applications, 2010
For a given graph $G$ its Szeged weighting is defined by $w(e) = n_u(e)n_v(e)$, where $e=uv$ is an edge of $G$, $n_u(e)$ is the number of vertices of $G$ closer to $u$ than to $v$, and $n_v(e)$ is defined analogously. The adjacency matrix of a graph weighted in this way is called its Szeged matrix.

Effects of Winter Cereals (Triticum aestivum L., Hordeum vulgare L., Triticosecale Wittmack) and Winter Pea (Pisum sativum L.) Intercropping on Weed Cover in South-Eastern and Central Hungary

open access: yesAgronomy, 2023
Growing two or more crops together in the same area at the same time, called intercropping, is a well-known agroecological method of weed suppression. Cereal-legume intercropping systems are of great importance in increasing biodiversity in arable lands.

An Application of the Pr\'ekopa-Leindler Inequality and Sobolev Regularity of Weighted Bergman Projections

open access: yes, 2016
We prove a general version of \cite[Theorem 4.1]{Boas84} to obtain Sobolev estimates for weighted Bergman projections on convex Reinhardt domains by using the Pr\'ekopa-Leindler inequality.Comment: To appear in Acta Sci.

ON PROPERTIES OF PRIME IDEAL GRAPHS OF COMMUTATIVE RINGS

open access: yesBarekeng, 2023
The prime ideal graph of  in a finite commutative ring  with unity, denoted by , is a graph with elements of  as its vertices and two elements in  are adjacent if their product is in . In this paper, we explore some interesting properties of .

Constructing and Crossing Boundaries in a New (?) Europe [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
During the last two decades, discourses over the transition process shifted toward a theoretical diversity and a deeper understanding of ‘how modernity was reworked in postsocialist context’.

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

An ATP‐Mediated Antibiotic β‐Peptide Nanofiber That Kills Multidrug‐Resistant Bacteria via a Multistage Mechanism

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The 3K‐AP system forms infinite supramolecular fibrils that undergo controlled degradation into shorter fragments upon enzymatic hydrolysis. Multitechnique imaging reveals a stepwise bacteriolytic mechanism involving bacterial entrapment, disassembly into lethal constructs, and associated extracellular vesicle release, highlighting the dynamic ...
