Statistical inference for generalized Ornstein-Uhlenbeck processes

open access: yes, 2015
In this paper, we consider the problem of statistical inference for generalized Ornstein-Uhlenbeck processes of the type \[ X_{t} = e^{-\xi_{t}} \left( X_{0} + \int_{0}^{t} e^{\xi_{u-}} d u \right), \] where \(\xi_s\) is a L{\'e}vy process.

Charge-insensitive qubit design derived from the Cooper pair box [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
Short dephasing times pose one of the main challenges in realizing a quantum computer. Different approaches have been devised to cure this problem for superconducting qubits, a prime example being the operation of such devices at optimal working points ...

Distributions in the process e+e−→e+e−(γ)

open access: yesNuclear Physics B, 1983
QED radiative corrections to Bhabha scattering are discussed. The contribution from hard bremsstrahlung is treated using the Feynman integral parametrization resulting in a fast and elegant algorithm for Monte Carlo simulation of the radiative process. Some results from the corresponding computer program are presented. Stichting FOM.

On the mean square of the zeta-function and the divisor problem [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
Let $\Delta(x)$ denote the error term in the Dirichlet divisor problem, and $E(T)$ the error term in the asymptotic formula for the mean square of $|\zeta(1/2+it)|$. If $E^*(t) = E(t) - 2\pi\Delta^*(t/2\pi)$ with $\Delta^*(x) = -\Delta(x) + 2\Delta(2x) -

Schwinger Mechanism for Gluon Pair Production in the Presence of Arbitrary Time Dependent Chromo-Electric Field

open access: yes, 2009
We study Schwinger mechanism for gluon pair production in the presence of arbitrary time-dependent chromo-electric background field $E^a(t)$ with arbitrary color index $a$=1,2,...8 in SU(3) by directly evaluating the path integral.

Approximating the coefficients in semilinear stochastic partial differential equations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
We investigate, in the setting of UMD Banach spaces E, the continuous dependence on the data A, F, G and X_0 of mild solutions of semilinear stochastic evolution equations with multiplicative noise of the form dX(t) = [AX(t) + F(t,X(t))]dt + G(t,X(t ...
