Anti‐Müllerian Hormone and Metabolic–Hormonal Profiles in Women With and Without Polycystic Ovary Syndrome: A Population‐Based Study

open access: yesEndocrinology, Diabetes &Metabolism, Volume 9, Issue 5, September 2026.
In this population‐based study of 883 women, AMH declined less with age in women with PCOS than in healthy women. Higher AMH may protect older healthy women from T2DM but indicates elevated metabolic risk in younger women with PCOS, supporting its role as a life‐course biomarker for metabolic risk stratification.

Forecasting With Dynamic Factor Models Estimated by Partial Least Squares

open access: yesJournal of Forecasting, Volume 45, Issue 6, Page 2785-2806, September 2026.
ABSTRACT Dynamic factor models (DFMs) have found great success in nowcasting and short‐term macroeconomic forecasting when incorporating large sets of predictive information. The factor loadings are typically estimated cross‐sectionally with principal component analysis (PCA) or maximum likelihood (ML), which ignore whether the factors have predictive ...

The Role of Coincident Information in Real‐Time Business Cycle Forecasting

open access: yesJournal of Forecasting, Volume 45, Issue 6, Page 2890-2904, September 2026.
ABSTRACT Official NBER recession dates are announced with substantial delay. Therefore, real‐time forecasters cannot condition on the most recent business cycle states even though recessions and expansions are highly persistent. I study whether real‐time coincident releases can substitute for this missing information. At each monthly forecast origin, I

The Zooplankton International Geospatial dataset: A global repository of spatiotemporal freshwater zooplankton community composition data from lakes and reservoirs to support ecological research

open access: yesLimnology and Oceanography Letters, Volume 11, Issue 5, September 2026.
Abstract Zooplankton transfer substantial energy in aquatic food webs and are used as indicators of environmental change. Syntheses of zooplankton community dynamics globally require datasets that span a wide range of environmental gradients; however, these datasets are limited due to methodological differences across programs, taxonomic ...

Tumor Invasive Border Index (TIBI) in colorectal cancer: linking infiltrative morphology to molecular insights

open access: yesThe Journal of Pathology, Volume 270, Issue 1, Page 114-128, September 2026.
Abstract Tumor border configuration influences colorectal cancer (CRC) prognosis, yet its molecular determinants remain unclear and existing assessment criteria have faced challenges with reproducibility. We introduce the Tumor Invasive Border Index (TIBI), a novel and reproducible method that quantifies the proportion of tumor stroma and adipose ...

Synchrotron‐Based X‐Ray Tomography of Strontium Phosphate Chemical Gardens

open access: yesChemSystemsChem, Volume 8, Issue 5, September 2026.
Synchrotron‐based X‐ray tomography at the DanMAX beamline (MAX IV laboratory) is able to address challenges related to in situ observations at high spatial (sub‐micron) resolution in the field of chemical gardens or non‐equilibrium systems in general. The results therefore reflect a buoyancy‐linked mechanism of growth as well as the mineralization of ...
