Cinnamic‐Hydroxamic‐Acid Derivatives Exhibit Antibiotic, Anti‐Biofilm, and Supercoiling Relaxation Properties by Targeting Bacterial Nucleoid‐Associated Protein HU

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Cinnamic‐hydroxamic‐acid derivatives (CHADs) are identified as novel inhibitors of the bacterial nucleoid‐associated protein HU, exhibiting potent antibacterial, anti‐biofilm (both inhibition and eradication), and DNA relaxation (anti‐supercoiling) activities. Moreover, CHADs demonstrate strong synergistic effects with multiple antibiotics.

Seipin‐Mediated Lipid Droplet Formation in Cardiomyocytes Ameliorates Cardiac Ischemia/Reperfusion Injury

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Lipid droplets (LDs) protect the heart against lipotoxicity in cardiac ischemia/reperfusion (I/R) injury; however, they are insufficient to prevent cardiomyocyte death. Seipin plays a central role in the insufficient formation of LDs, subsequent lipotoxicity, and myocardial injury during cardiac I/R injury.

Histopathological features of peripheral T-cell lymphoma in Sprague Dawley rats induced with N-methyl-N-nitrosourea [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
This study described the histopathological features of peripheral T-cell lymphoma in male Sprague Dawley rats following intraperitoneal (i.p.) injections of N-methyl-N-nitrosourea (MNU) at a dose of 60 mg/kg body weight per injection, administered ...

Safety and Efficacy of Adoptive Transfer of Stem Cell Memory Enriched Virus Specific T Cells against CMV and EBV

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study finds that CD8⁺ TSCM cells exhibit superior self‐renewal, differentiation, and antiviral activity. Transcriptome and epigenome analyses highlight MAPK cascade regulation in TSCM cells. In vivo, virus‐specific TSCM cells show enhanced persistence and tumor protection.

PARPi Combining Nanoparticle LIN28B siRNA for the Management of Malignant Ascites

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates that co‐inhibition of LIN28B and PARP using siLin28b/DSSP@lip‐PEG‐FA nanoparticles in combination with the PARP inhibitor BMN673 effectively suppresses the accumulation of malignant ascites associated with advanced cancers.

Prevalence profile of cutaneous T- and B-cell lymphoma in Gharbia Governorate, Egypt

open access: yesJournal of the Egyptian Women’s Dermatologic Society
Background Lymphomas represent a heterogeneous group of lymphoid malignancies with varied patterns of clinical behavior and responses to treatment. The WHO classification distinguishes lymphoid neoplasms derived from precursor lymphoid cells from those ...
