Zs-contractive mappings and weak compatibility in fuzzy metric space [PDF]
The aim of this paper is to introduce Zs-contractive condition for a pair of self maps in a fuzzy metric space, which enlarges and unifies the existing fuzzy contractions (by Gregori and Sapena [4]), pscontraction (by Mihet [8]), Z-contractions (by ...

Chebyshev type inequalities by means of copulas
A copula is a function which joins (or ‘couples’) a bivariate distribution function to its marginal (one-dimensional) distribution functions. In this paper, we obtain Chebyshev type inequalities by utilising copulas.

ABSTRACT Background PIK3CA‐related overgrowth spectrum (PROS) includes several rare overgrowth disorders resulting from somatic gain‐of‐function mutations in PIK3CA. Despite treatment advances, including the recent approval of alpelisib for PROS in the United States, literature detailing the patient experience with PROS is limited.

ABSTRACT Background Sickle cell disease (SCD) is a chronic, inherited hemoglobinopathy that requires frequent hospitalization for disease‐related complications. Canadian data on inpatient care is limited. This study compared caregiver‐reported hospital experiences of children with SCD to those with cystic fibrosis (CF), a chronic, autosomal recessive ...

Generating functions for t-norms
We investigate the P-generating functions, L-generating functions, and A-generating function, respectively induced by product t-norms, Lukasiewicz t-norms and additive semi-groups. Furthermore, we investigate the relations among them.

ABSTRACT Background Central nervous system (CNS) involvement in childhood acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) is assessed by cell counting and cytomorphology from cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) and is used for treatment stratification worldwide. The ratio of “CNS2” patients in clinical trials ranges from 3% to 40%, with unclear prognostic significance ...

Conjunction of Conditional Events and t-Norms [PDF]
We study the relationship between a notion of conjunction among conditional events, introduced in recent papers, and the notion of Frank t-norm. By examining different cases, in the setting of coherence, we show each time that the conjunction coincides with a suitable Frank t-norm.
