Digital analysis of occlusion using T-Scan III in orthodontics

open access: yesJournal of Indian Orthodontic Society, 2016
Disclusion Time Reduction (DTR) is an objective treatment protocol using T-Scan III (Digital Analysis of Occlusion) for Force Finishing in Orthodontics. Chronic Occluso-muscle Disorder is a myogenous subset of Temporomandibular Disorder symptoms (TMD) can occur to most of post orthodontic cases, if they are not force finished.

Evaluation of occlusion parameters using T-scan III in patients receiving fixed orthodontic treatment

open access: yesAPOS Trends in Orthodontics, 2023
Objectives: The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between occlusal factors and temporomandibular joint diseases (TMD). Material and Methods: In our study, 43 individuals who had fixed orthodontic treatment and 20 individuals who did not need treatment at Istanbul Aydin University Faculty of Dentistry Department of Orthodontics were ...

Clinical and Biological Features of Response in Resistant Neuroblastoma to 131I‐Metaiodobenzylguanidine Radiotherapy in the Anti‐GD2 Immunotherapy Era

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background 131I‐metaiodobenzylguanidine (131I‐MIBG) radiotherapy is a key treatment for relapsed and refractory (R/R) neuroblastoma (NB). Patients with R/R disease treated in the modern era are increasingly exposed to anti‐GD2 immunotherapy, which exerts selective pressure and may modify both tumor cell state and microenvironment.

Haptic Manipulation of 3D Scans for Geometric Feature Enhancement

open access: yesSensors, 2021
Localisation of geometric features like holes, edges, slots, etc. is vital to robotic planning in industrial automation settings. Low-cost 3D scanners are crucial in terms of improving accessibility, but pose a practical challenge to feature localisation

Heterogeneity in the Global Practice of Central Nervous System Staging in Pediatric Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Central nervous system (CNS) involvement in childhood acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) is assessed by cell counting and cytomorphology from cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) and is used for treatment stratification worldwide. The ratio of “CNS2” patients in clinical trials ranges from 3% to 40%, with unclear prognostic significance ...

Therapeutic Apheresis for Intravenous Methylprednisolone‐Refractory Neuromyelitis Optica Spectrum Disorder: Clinical and Radiological Outcomes in a Single‐Center Case Series

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (NMOSD) is a relapsing autoimmune disease of the central nervous system. High‐dose intravenous methylprednisolone (IVMP) is the standard first‐line therapy for acute attacks, although some patients remain refractory.

Distribution Characteristics of Micro Remaining Oil of Class III Reservoirs after Fracture Flooding in Daqing Oilfield

open access: yesEnergies, 2022
The class III reservoir in the Daqing Oilfield has poor sand body development, poor reservoir physical properties, and poor effects of measures. Its water drive recovery degree is low and the remaining reserves are large.

Structural instability impairs function of the UDP‐xylose synthase 1 Ile181Asn variant associated with short‐stature genetic syndrome in humans

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The Ile181Asn variant of human UDP‐xylose synthase (hUXS1), associated with a short‐stature genetic syndrome, has previously been reported as inactive. Our findings demonstrate that Ile181Asn‐hUXS1 retains catalytic activity similar to the wild‐type but exhibits reduced stability, a looser oligomeric state, and an increased tendency to precipitate ...

Transferrin receptor 1‐mediated iron uptake supports thermogenic activation in human cervical‐derived adipocytes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.
