Zero overshoot and fast transient response using a fuzzy logic controller [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
In some industrial process control systems it is desirable not to allow an overshoot beyond the setpoint or a threshold, this could be a safety constraint or the requirement of the system.

Efficient learning of uncertainty distributions in coupled multidisciplinary systems through sensory data

open access: yesIET Cyber-Physical Systems: Theory &Applications, Volume 10, Issue 1, January/December 2025.
Coupled multidisciplinary systems are crucial in fields like aerospace and robotics, where accurate analysis depends on effectively estimating uncertainties. This paper introduces a framework using a non‐linear/non‐Gaussian hidden Markov model (HMM) to capture the stochastic nature of these systems, employing particle filtering and Bayesian ...

Sustainable Business Assessment of Remanufacturing Waste Cooking Oil to Produce Biodiesel

open access: yesInternational Journal of Energy Research, Volume 2025, Issue 1, 2025.
To replace fossil diesel, biodiesel is produced by the transesterification of vegetable oils. To improve the environmental sustainability, biodiesel can be produced using waste cooking oil (WCO). To highlight to broad relevance of this process, we analyzed the sustainability of WCO‐derived biodiesel based on commercial industrial‐scale machinery and ...

An Overview of Remaining Useful Life Prediction of Battery Using Deep Learning and Ensemble Learning Algorithms on Data‐Dependent Models

open access: yesInternational Transactions on Electrical Energy Systems, Volume 2025, Issue 1, 2025.
There has been expeditious development and significant advancements accomplished in the electrified transportation system recently. The primary core component meant for power backup is a lithium‐ion battery. One of the keys to assuring the vehicle’s safety and dependability is an accurate remaining useful life (RUL) forecast.

On Globular T‐Spherical Fuzzy Sets With Weighted Aggregation Operators and Application to Multicriteria Group Decision‐Making

open access: yesJournal of Mathematics, Volume 2025, Issue 1, 2025.
In this paper, we give the concept of novel globular T‐spherical fuzzy sets (G‐TSFSs) as an innovative extension of TSFSs and circular spherical fuzzy sets (C‐SFSs). G‐TSFSs represent membership, indeterminacy, and nonmembership degrees using a globular/sphere bound that can offer a more accurate portrayal of vague, ambiguous, and imprecise information.

Robust T‐S fuzzy‐model‐based nonfragile sampled‐data control for cyber‐physical systems with stochastic delay and cyber‐attacks

open access: yesIET Control Theory &Applications, Volume 18, Issue 16, Page 2019-2037, November 2024.
This work addresses the nonfragile sampled‐data control of T‐S fuzzy model for cyber‐physical systems subject to cyber‐attacks. In the communication between physical and cyber layers the signals suffered by stochastic delays and cyber‐attacks. The fractional delayed state looped functional approach is presented to handle the formulated Lyapunov ...

Matrix formulation of fuzzy rule-based systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 1996
In this paper, a matrix formulation of fuzzy rule based systems is introduced. A gradient descent training algorithm for the determination of the unknown parameters can also be expressed in a matrix form for various adaptive fuzzy networks.
