Abstract Primates show a high degree of locomotor diversity that engenders similar variance in limb bone cross‐sectional geometry and bending strength: leaping primates have stronger hindlimb bones whereas suspensory species have stronger forelimb bones.

Constraints on Remnant Planetary Systems as a Function of Main-sequence Mass with HST/COS
As the descendants of stars with masses less than 8 M _⊙ on the main sequence, white dwarfs provide a unique way to constrain planetary occurrence around intermediate-mass stars (spectral types BAF) that are otherwise difficult to measure with radial ...

On the Orbit of the Binary Brown Dwarf Companion GL229 Ba and Bb
The companion GL229B was recently resolved by Xuan et al. as a tight binary of two brown dwarfs (Ba and Bb) through VLTI-GRAVITY interferometry and Very Large Telescope-CRIRES+ radial velocity (RV) measurements.

A new benchmark T8-9 brown dwarf and a couple of new mid-T dwarfs from the UKIDSS DR5+ LAS
Benchmark brown dwarfs are those objects for which fiducial constraints are available, including effective temperature, parallax, age and metallicity. We searched for new cool brown dwarfs in 186deg2 of the new area covered by the data release DR5+ of ...

Heat Stress in Quail: Impacts on Health and Productivity, and Mitigation Strategies
Heat stress disrupts physiological homeostasis in quail, inducing oxidative stress, immune dysregulation, and metabolic imbalance, which impair growth, reproduction, product quality, and welfare. Integrating nutritional, environmental, and genetic–epigenetic strategies enhances thermotolerance, sustains productivity, and supports climate‐smart quail ...

Disequilibrium chemistry due to vertical mixing in the atmospheres of many brown dwarfs and giant exoplanets is well established. Atmosphere models for these objects typically parameterize mixing with the highly uncertain K _zz diffusion parameter.

L and T dwarfs in the Hyades and Ursa Major moving groups
We have used the moving cluster method to identify three L dwarfs and one T dwarf in the Ursa Major/Sirius moving group (age 400 Myr). Five L dwarfs and two T dwarfs are found to belong to the Hyades moving group (age 625 Myr).

Di scovery of a T dwarf + white dwarf binary system
We present the discovery of the first T dwarf + white dwarf binary system LSPM 1459+0857AB, confirmed through common proper motion and spectroscopy. The white dwarf is a high proper motion object from the LSPM catalogue that we confirm spectroscopically ...
