The International Tables Symmetry Database

open access: yesJournal of Applied Crystallography, 2023
The International Tables Symmetry Database (https://symmdb.iucr.org/), which is part of International Tables for Crystallography, is a collection of individual databases of crystallographic space-group and point-group information with associated programs. The programs let the user access and in some cases interactively visualize the data, and some also

Transforming Web Tables to a Relational Database

open access: yes2014 22nd International Conference on Pattern Recognition, 2014
HTML tables represent a significant fraction of web data. The often complex headers of such tables are determined accurately using their indexing property. Isolated headers are factored to extract category hierarchies. Web tables are then transformed into a canonical form and imported into a relational database.

Private Table Database Virtualization for DBaaS

open access: yes2011 Fourth IEEE International Conference on Utility and Cloud Computing, 2011
Growing number of applications store data in relational databases. Moving database applications to the cloud faces challenges related to flexible and scalable management of data. The obvious strategy of hosting legacy database management systems (DMBSs) on virtualized cloud resources leads to sub optimal utilization and performance.

Table of tables: A database design tool for SYBASE [PDF]

open access: yes, 1991
The Table of Tables' application system captures in a set of SYBASE tables the basic design specification for a database schema. Specification of tables, columns (including the related defaults and rules for the stored values) and keys is provided. The feature which makes this application specifically useful for SYBASE is the ability to automatically ...

Food Composition Tables of Japan and the Nutrient Table/Database

open access: yesJournal of Nutritional Science and Vitaminology, 2015
A global food composition database has been constructed by the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) based on food composition tables from every country in the world. To improve this database, the FAO has organized the International Network of Food Data Systems (INFOODS).

Firebird Database Backup by Serialized Database Table Dump

open access: yesCoRR, 2007
This paper presents a simple data dump and load utility for Firebird databases which mimics mysqldump in MySQL. This utility, fb_dump and fb_load, for dumping and loading respectively, retrieves each database table using kinterbasdb and serializes the data using marshal module.

Table manipulation in simplicial databases

open access: yesCoRR, 2010
In \cite{Spi}, we developed a category of databases in which the schema of a database is represented as a simplicial set. Each simplex corresponds to a table in the database. There, our main concern was to find a categorical formulation of databases; the simplicial nature of the schemas was to some degree unexpected and unexploited. In the present note,
