An Investigation on Tabu Search Algorithms Optimization

open access: yesElectrical and Automation Engineering, 2022
Tabu Search is one of the local search methods used for mathematical optimization Metaheuristics search method. It was founded in 1986 by Fred W. Developed by Clover and in 1989 Formalized. Local (nearby) searches take a potential solution to a problem and its immediate neighbor Check countries (i.e., similar solutions except for very small details ...

A mutli-thread tabu search algorithm

open access: yesCoRR, 2014
This paper describes a novel refinement to a Tabu search algorithm that has been implemented in an attempt to improve the robustness of the search when applied to particularly complex problems. In this approach, two Tabu searches are carried out in parallel.

Tabu-KM: A Hybrid Clustering Algorithm Based on Tabu Search Approach

open access: yesInternational Journal of Industrial Engineering and Production Research, 2010
The clustering problem under the criterion of minimum sum of squares is a non-convex and non-linear program, which possesses many locally optimal values, resulting that its solution often falls into these trap and therefore cannot converge to global ...

A tabu search algorithm for structural software testing [PDF]

open access: yesComputers & Operations Research, 2008
This paper presents a tabu search metaheuristic algorithm for the automatic generation of structural software tests. It is a novel work since tabu search is applied to the automation of the test generation task, whereas previous works have used other techniques such as genetic algorithms.

Operations Research‐Based Formalisation and Design of Sustainable Reverse Logistics for E‐Waste Supply Chains

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This study demonstrates how a profitable, lean, and environmentally responsible e‐waste reverse logistics system can be designed using integrated Operations Research (OR) techniques. Addressing the growing urgency of responsible consumption (UN SDG 12) and the projected rise of the e‐waste sector to USD 137.60 billion by 2029, the research ...

Automated Test Data Generation Using Cuckoo Search and Tabu Search (CSTS) Algorithm

open access: yesJournal of Intelligent Systems, 2012
Software testing is a very important phase in the development of software. Testing includes the generation of test cases which, if done manually, is time consuming.

Ship Collision Avoidance by Distributed Tabu Search [PDF]

open access: yesTransNav, 2015
More than 90% of world trade is transported by sea. The size and speed of ships is rapidly increasing in order to boost economic efficiency. If ships collide, the damage and cost can be astronomical.

Genetic and Tabu search algorithms for peptide assembly problem [PDF]

open access: yesRAIRO - Operations Research, 2010
Summary: Determining amino acid sequences of protein molecules is one of the most important issues in molecular biology. These sequences determine protein structure and functionality. Unfortunately, direct biochemical methods for reading amino acid sequences can be used for reading short sequences only.

Hybrid Osprey‐Salp Swarm Optimization Algorithm for Single and Multiobjective Optimal Power Flow in Smart Grids With Renewable Energy Integration

open access: yesEnergy Science &Engineering, EarlyView.
The proposed hybrid osprey‐salp swarm optimization algorithm addresses optimal power flow (OPF) problems in smart grids incorporating solar, hydro, and thermal generators. The algorithm is validated on Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers 30‐, 57‐, and 118‐bus test systems across five single and multiobjective OPF scenarios.
