A Tabulated-Chemistry Approach applied to a Quasi-Dimensional Combustion Model for a Fast and Accurate Knock Prediction in Spark-Ignition Engines [PDF]
The description of knock phenomenon is a critical issue in a combustion model for Spark-Ignition (SI) engines. The most known theory to explain this phenomenon is based on the Auto-Ignition (AI) of the end-gas, ahead the flame front.

Large Eddy Simulation of a Turbulent Spray Jet Flame Using Filtered Tabulated Chemistry
This work presents Large Eddy Simulations of the unconfined CORIA Rouen Spray Burner, fed with liquid n-heptane and air. Turbulent combustion modeling is based on the Filtered TAbulated Chemistry model for LES (F-TACLES) formalism, designed to capture ...

Air mass factor formulation for spectroscopic measurements from satellites: Application to formaldehyde retrievals from the Global Ozone Monitoring Experiment [PDF]
. We present a new formulation for the air mass factor (AMF) to convert slant column measurements of optically thin atmospheric species from space into total vertical columns.

Non-equilibrium chemistry and cooling in the diffuse interstellar medium - I. Optically thin regime [PDF]
An accurate treatment of the multiphase interstellar medium (ISM) in hydrodynamic galaxy simulations requires that we follow not only the thermal evolution of the gas, but also the evolution of its chemical state, including its molecular chemistry ...

Simulation of turbulent non-premixed and partially premixed flames using a look-up table
In this paper, we present a simple combustion simulation technique based on a look-up table approach. In the proposed technique, a flow solver extracts the solutions of the ordinary differential equations (ODEs) of the chemical equations from the look-up
