Terminating ventricular tachycardia by pacing induced dynamical inhomogeneities in the reentry circuit [PDF]
Formation of feedback loops of excitation waves (reentrant circuit) around non-conducting ventricular scar tissue is a common cause of lethal cardiac arrhythmias, such as ventricular tachycardia. This is typically treated by rapid stimulation from an implantable device (ICD). However, the mechanisms of reentry termination success and, more importantly,

Method to Annotate Arrhythmias by Deep Network [PDF]
This study targets to automatically annotate on arrhythmia by deep network. The investigated types include sinus rhythm, asystole (Asys), supraventricular tachycardia (Tachy), ventricular flutter or fibrillation (VF/VFL), ventricular tachycardia (VT).

Pulsed‐Field Ablation for Persistent Atrial Fibrillation in EU‐PORIA Registry
A total of 457 persistent AF patients from EU‐PORIA were included in this trial and Propensity score matched (PSM) analysis was conducted. The Kaplan‐Meier curve of all‐atrial arrhythmia‐free survival for (A) all persistent patients and (B) patients who underwent PSM conducted to the higher recurrence rate in PVI + α group.

An unusual WPW syndrome: What is the preexcitation variant?
A 15-year-old female with WPW syndrome and normal heart underwent an electrophysiology study for paroxysmal palpitations and syncope. Intravenous adenosine produced an unexpected response of QRS changes and advanced AV block.

The extent of pulmonary vein electrical connection predicts the success of pulmonary vein isolation in patients with persistent atrial fibrillation. ABSTRACT Background Identification of persistent AF (PsAF) patients who may be cured with stand‐alone pulmonary vein isolation (PVI) would allow more efficient ablation strategies. Intuitively, the benefit

Efficacy of multi-electrode duty-cycled radiofrequency ablation in patients with paroxysmal and persistent atrial fibrillation [PDF]
Background: Radiofrequency (RF) catheter ablation is a first-line therapy for patients with drug-refractory atrial fibrillation (AF). Complete isolation of electrical potentials at the ostium of pulmonary vein (PV) is a challenging procedure.

ABSTRACT This state‐of‐the‐art review is based on the Philippe Coumel Lecture in 2024 (Figure 1). It highlights the confluence of two major cardiovascular epidemics, atrial fibrillation and heart failure, with preserved ejection fraction. In these conditions, advances in electrophysiology and heart failure physiology are intertwined and are integrated ...
