Perioperative Management Challenges in Silent Pheochromocytoma: A Case Report and Literature Review
ABSTRACT Silent pheochromocytomas, frequently misdiagnosed as nonfunctioning adrenal adenomas, carry a high risk of perioperative hemodynamic instability. This case underscores the importance of thorough preoperative biochemical screening, proactive anesthetic strategies, and continuous intraoperative monitoring.

A minimal electrical model of the human heart [PDF]
We develop a minimal whole-heart model that describes cardiac electrical conduction and simulate a basic three-lead electrocardiogram (ECG). We compare our 3-lead ECG model with clinical data from a database of Norwegian athletes. The results demonstrate a strong correlation with the ECGs recorded for these athletes.

Characterization of blood pressure and heart rate oscillations of POTS patients via uniform phase empirical mode decomposition [PDF]
Objective: Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS) is associated with the onset of tachycardia upon postural change. The current diagnosis involves the measurement of heart rate (HR) and blood pressure (BP) during head-up tilt (HUT) or active standing test.

THE FUNCTIONAL DISTURBANCES IN PAROXYSMAL TACHYCARDIA [PDF]
In studying the attacks of tachycardia which have been known since the description of Cotton in 1867, and which Bouveret has designated as "essential" or "idiopathic" paroxysmal tachycardia, it is necessary to distinguish very carefully between "paroxysms of tachycardia" and idiopathic paroxysmal tachycardia.

Excessive increases in heart rate (HR) and consistently high HR during follow‐up were independently associated with adverse events in patients with atrial fibrillation (AF); whereas, a modest decrease in HR was associated with lower mortality in those with a higher baseline HR. Changes in HR is important for AF management.

Association of COPD with adverse outcomes in heart failure patients with preserved ejection fraction
Abstract We performed a systematic review and meta‐analysis to detect the impact of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) on the prognosis of heart failure patients with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF). We systematically screened eligible literature from three electronic databases, PubMed, EMBASE and Cochrane Library, up to April 2023.

The article highlights the issues of paroxysmal heart rhythm disorders, which are one of the most pressing problems of modern cardiology. Modern information on classification, course and prognosis, as well as the algorithm of differential diagnosis of these conditions are provided. The factors that cause the development of paroxysmal tachycardia, which
