Every face tells a story-unravelling a case of bidirectional ventricular tachycardia
Bidirectional ventricular tachycardia is a rare form of tachycardia. We hereby report a case of bidirectional ventricular tachycardia in an 8-year-old boy wherein careful clinical exami-nation led to the diagnosis of Andersen Tawil syndrome.

Wide Complex Tachycardia – Ventricular Tachycardia or Not Ventricular Tachycardia, That Remains the Question [PDF]
Arriving at the correct diagnosis in cases of wide complex tachycardia remains problematic for many clinicians. In this paper, we review the historical development of criteria used to differentiate among the major diagnostic possibilities and compare the strengths and weaknesses of various differentiating algorithms.

Cardiac Transplantation for Refractory Catecholaminergic Polymorphic Ventricular Tachycardia
We present a patient with catecholaminergic polymorphic ventricular tachycardia who failed maximal antiarrhythmic drug therapy and bilateral sympathetic denervation, who presented with syncope and recurrent ventricular tachycardia for 11 min refractory ...

Idiopathic Ventricular Tachycardia
Idiopathic ventricular tachycardia (VT) is an important cause of morbidity and less commonly, mortality in patients with structurally normal hearts. Appropriate diagnosis and management are predicated on an understanding of the mechanism, relevant cardiac anatomy, and associated ECG signatures. Catheter ablation is a viable strategy to adequately treat

Ventricular tachycardia at will
An unusual case of ventricular tachycardia, produced at will, due to positional migration of the central venous catheter tip is reported. Implications of this in the genesis of atrial and ventricular arrhythmias are discussed.

Pulsed ventricular tachycardia: a case study
Ventricular tachycardia (VT) is an arrhythmia that originates from the ventricles of the heart and presents as a wide and prolonged QRS complex on the electrocardiograph of greater than 120 milliseconds, with a heart rate of over 100 beats per minute. VT

Is narrow qrs complex tachyarrythmia always from supraventricular?
Idiopathic left ventricular tachycardia (previously known as fascicular VT) is characterized by right bundle branch block (RBBB) left axis ventricular tachycardia (VT) with a relatively narrow QRS (120–140 ms) in young patients and sensitive to verapamil.

Atabrine in Ventricular Tachycardia [PDF]
The therapeutic efficacy of Atabrine in ventricular tachycardia has not yet been clearly demonstrated. In this case report, Atabrine stopped ventricular tachycardia and restored normal sinus rhythm following the fifth two-hourly oral dose of 0.30 Gm. Nausea and vomiting were the only toxic effects noted.

Clinical characteristics, genetic findings and arrhythmic outcomes of patients with catecholaminergic polymorphic ventricular tachycardia from China: A systematic review [PDF]
Introduction: Catecholaminergic polymorphic ventricular tachycardia (CPVT) is a rare inherited cardiac ion channelopathy. The present study aims to examine the clinical characteristics, genetic basis, and arrhythmic outcomes of CPVT patients from China ...
