The ventricular tachycardia score: a novel approach to electrocardiographic diagnosis of ventricular tachycardia.

open access: yesEuropace, 2016
AIMS Electrocardiographic diagnosis of wide QRS complex tachycardia (WCT) continues to be challenging as none one of the available methods is specific for ventricular tachycardia (VT) diagnosis.

Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS) – A novel member of the autoimmune family

open access: yesLupus, 2016
Postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS) is a heterogeneous disorder of the autonomic nervous system in which a change from the supine position to an upright position causes an abnormally large increase in heart rate or tachycardia (30 bpm within

Radiofrequency Ablation for Post Infarction Ventricular Tachycardia [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
Radiofrequency ablation has an important role in the management of post infarction ventricular tachycardia. The mapping and ablation of ventricular tachycardia (VT) is complex and technically challenging.

A rare ischemic ventricular tachycardia [PDF]

open access: yes, 2023

In vivo toxic and lethal cardiorespiratory effects of a synthetic quaternary ammonium salt derivative of haloperidol in mice

open access: yesAnimal Models and Experimental Medicine, EarlyView.
Hematoxylin–eosin (H&E) stains of the heart, liver, lung, and kidney show acute toxicity. Abstract Background To investigate the toxicity of N‐n‐butyl haloperidol iodide (F2), a quaternary ammonium salt derivative of haloperidol, in mice for potential therapeutic purposes. Methods The acute median lethal dose (LD50) of F2 was determined using the Bliss

Impact of different anesthetic protocols during anesthesia for the establishment of a porcine model of acute kidney injury

open access: yesAnimal Models and Experimental Medicine, EarlyView.
This study details the adaptations required to establish a long‐term anesthetic protocol in pigs. Three protocols were evaluated, with some causing malignant hyperthermia, hypoglycemia, or hemoynamic instability. The final protocol proved effective for developing a porcine AKI model requiring adequate arterial pressure maintenance.

Atypical Fast-Slow Atrioventricular Nodal Reentrant Tachycardia Incorporating a “Superior” Slow Pathway: A Distinct Supraventricular Tachyarrhythmia

open access: yesCirculation, 2016
Background— The existence of an atypical fast-slow (F/S) atrioventricular nodal reentrant tachycardia (AVNRT) including a superior (sup) pathway with slow conductive properties and an atrial exit near the His bundle has not been confirmed.
