Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

Somatic mutational landscape in von Hippel–Lindau familial hemangioblastoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The causes of central nervous system (CNS) hemangioblastoma in Von Hippel–Lindau (vHL) disease are unclear. We used Whole Exome Sequencing (WES) on familial hemangioblastoma to investigate events that underlie tumor development. Our findings suggest that VHL loss creates a permissive environment for tumor formation, while additional alterations ...

CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.

When Tacit is Not Tacit Enough: A Heideggerian Critique of Collins’ “Tacit” Knowledge [PDF]

open access: yesMeta: Research in Hermeneutics, Phenomenology and Practical Philosophy, 2013
Some of the problems that Harry Collins has faced in his general framework for theorizing tacit and explicit knowledge are, I will argue, due to an inadequate formulation of the problem. It is this inadequacy that has led to pseudo-problems regarding the

CD47 promotes mitogen‐activated protein kinase and epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition molecular programs to drive prometastatic phenotypes in non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

Extended Rationale-Based Model for Tacit Knowledge Elicitation in Requirements Elicitation Context

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
The Requirements elicitation involves knowledge intensive and collaborative activities. Requirements engineering research has proposed a range of knowledge elicitation and requirements gathering techniques, few of which apply specific strategies for ...

Hijacking emergency granulopoiesis: Neutrophil ontogeny and reprogramming in cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Neutrophils are highly plastic innate immune cells; their functions in cancer extend beyond the tumour microenvironment. This Review summarises current understanding of neutrophil maturation and heterogeneity and highlights tumour‐induced granulopoiesis as a systemic programme that expands immature, immunosuppressive neutrophils via tumour‐derived ...

Organizational conditions associated with the sharing of tacit and explicit knowledge in the financial sector in Colombia

open access: yesKnowledge Management & E-Learning: An International Journal
Knowledge sharing is the social interaction through which individuals exchange their tacit and explicit knowledge with others. Tacit knowledge comes from experience, talent, and reflection and is difficult to formalize, transfer, and communicate to ...

Tacitní znalosti jako most mezi teorií a praxí v pedagogické přípravě budoucích učitelů. Tacit knowledge as a bridge between theory and practice in the domain-general aspect of teacher education. [PDF]

open access: yesPedagogická Orientace, 2012
The paper deals with tacit knowledge in the pedagogical component ofteacher education. Tacit knowledge is seen – metaphorically – as a bridge between theory and practice. In the paper, the concept of tacit knowledge is characterised; it is a concept that

Transcriptional profiling of circulating extracellular vesicles from prebiopsy prostate cancer patients

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
RNA profiling of circulating extracellular vesicles (EVs) from blood samples of men undergoing prostate biopsy identifies transcripts associated with clinically significant prostate cancer. Integrative analysis with public tumor datasets links EV‐derived gene signatures to tumor stage and progression‐free survival, highlighting CASP3, XRCC2, and RIT1 ...
