Neurological manifestations of chronic graft versus host disease

open access: yesInternal Medicine Journal, EarlyView.
Abstract Introduction Allogeneic haemopoietic stem cell transplant (allo‐HSCT) is an established therapy for many malignant and non‐malignant conditions, with an increasing number of uses and indications in recent decades. Palmitoylethanolamide (PEA) Induces an Increase in Spleen Regulatory T Cells, Reduces CD8+ Cells and TNF‐α Levels in Target Organs, and Protects Mice From Graft‐Versus‐Host Disease‐Related Mortality Through PPAR Activation Without Compromising the Graft‐Versus‐Tumour Response

open access: yesImmunology, EarlyView.
Effect of Palmitoylethanolamide (PEA) in a murine model of graft‐versus‐host disease (GVHD). Following an allogeneic transplant from C57BL/6J donors to BALB/c recipients, PEA treatment improved survival, alleviated clinical symptoms, and protected target organs in GVHD‐affected mice.

Impact of Immunosuppressive Drugs on Patients With Percutaneous Left Atrial Appendage Occlusion

open access: yesJournal of Cardiovascular Electrophysiology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Percutaneous left atrial appendage closure (LAAC) reduces the risk of thromboembolic stroke in patients with non‐valvular atrial fibrillation who cannot tolerate long‐term oral anticoagulation. However, outcomes after LAAC in patients requiring chronic immunosuppressive therapy (IMS) remain unknown. This study aimed to investigate

Clinical heterogeneity in vitiligo: Identification of clinical markers based patient clusters

open access: yesJournal of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology, EarlyView.
Vitiligo is a chronic autoimmune disease with heterogeneous clinical presentations. This study analysed 399 patients using hierarchical clustering and identified five phenotypes based on clinical characteristics and lesion distribution. Two groups exhibited high disease activity and extensive involvement.
