Tactile Change Detection [PDF]

open access: yesFirst Joint Eurohaptics Conference and Symposium on Haptic Interfaces for Virtual Environment and Teleoperator Systems, 2005
Interest in the use of tactile information displays has grown rapidly in recent years. However, relatively little research has been conducted to explore any cognitive and/or attentional limitations that may be inherent when using the body as a receptor surface for the transmission of information.

Development of a Three‐Axis Planar Hall Magnetoresistance Sensor Using a Superparamagnetic Nanoparticle‐Based Flux Guide

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A printed superparamagnetic nanoparticle‐based flux guide enables the realization of a hysteresis‐free three‐axis magnetic sensor. This innovative architecture efficiently redirects out‐of‐plane fields to planar sensing elements, facilitating simultaneous vector detection without complex reset protocols.

Tactile Masking by Electrovibration

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Haptics, 2018
Future touch screen applications will include multiple tactile stimuli displayed simultaneously or consecutively to single finger or multiple fingers. These applications should be designed by considering human tactile masking mechanism since it is known that presenting one stimulus may interfere with the perception of the other.
