Contribution of microcosm experiments to conservation science
Abstract Microcosms, or miniature experimental systems, have been used to develop models and theories in ecology. However, their contribution to conservation science is unclear. We explored the application, design, and impact of microcosms in conservation science from 469 systematically identified articles published from 1986 to 2023.

Evolution of research on global amphibian declines
Abstract In the late 1980s, the scientific community became aware of severe, enigmatic amphibian population declines. These declines triggered a wave of research focused on quantifying their extent and identifying key drivers. We used text‐analysis techniques, including topic modeling and geoparsing, to examine the evolution of research focused on ...

Noncommutative Field Theory and Spontaneous Symmetry Breaking
We investigate the noncommutative analogue of the spontaneously broken linear sigma model at the one-loop quantum level. In the commutative case, renormalization of a theory with a spontaneously broken continuous global symmetry depends on cancellations ...

Artificial intelligence‐powered microscopy: Transforming the landscape of parasitology
Abstract Microscopy and image analysis play a vital role in parasitology research; they are critical for identifying parasitic organisms and elucidating their complex life cycles. Despite major advancements in imaging and analysis, several challenges remain. These include the integration of interdisciplinary data; information derived from various model
