Channel Estimation for Ambient Backscatter Communication Systems with Massive-Antenna Reader [PDF]
Ambient backscatter, an emerging green communication technology, has aroused great interest from both academia and industry. One open problem for ambient backscatter communication (AmBC) systems is channel estimation for a massive-antenna reader. In this

Activation of the mitochondrial protein OXR1 increases pSyn129 αSynuclein aggregation by lowering ATP levels and altering mitochondrial membrane potential, particularly in response to MSA‐derived fibrils. In contrast, ablation of the ER protein EMC4 enhances autophagic flux and lysosomal clearance, broadly reducing α‐synuclein aggregates.

Improved detection scheme for chipless RFIDs using prolate spheroidal wave function-based noise filtering [PDF]
A novel, highly sensitive scheme to detect the resonance peaks in the spectrum of chipless RFID signals is presented. The detection is based on finding the zeros in the derivative of the group delay of the received signal.

Mass spectrometry based identification of AMP‐O‐Tris generated by Thermococcus onnurineus Cas10
Isolated Thermococcus onnurineus Cas10 generates the noncanonical ATP‐derived product AMP‐O‐Tris while in Tris‐containing buffer as identified via mass spectrometry, revealing relaxed nucleophile selectivity under isolated conditions. These findings suggest that multiprotein Csm complex assembly restricts Cas10 reactivity toward canonical cyclic ...

PIT detection efficiency using an inflatable antenna under different environmental conditions
Passive integrated transponder (PIT) technology is widely applied for monitoring fish migration and movement. In recent years, smaller tags, more powerful readers and new antennas have become available, but there is a lack of information concerning the ...

Pharmacological inhibition of PERK in a DEN‐induced mouse model of liver cancer does not reduce tumor burden but alters cellular stress signaling. Despite blocking PERK activity, downstream stress responses, including CHOP expression, remain active, suggesting compensatory mechanisms within the unfolded protein response that may influence tumor ...

Compact RFID tag antenna based on square spiral resonator
A miniaturized ultra-high frequency (UHF) radio frequency identification (RFID) tag antenna was designed. The antenna was composed of two square spiral resonators shorted inside and outside.By adjusting the edge length of the outer ring spiral resonator ...

Combined RFID tag antenna for recipients containing liquids
In UHF RFID (radio frequency identification), passive tag antennas can be fixed on boxes or recipients where the nature and contents might vary. These variations strongly affect the antenna performance. A combined antenna is proposed to ensure an effective read‐range for a plastic recipient containing water or not.
