Precise large deviations for the aggregate claims in a dependent compound renewal risk model
We consider a dependent compound renewal risk model, where the interarrival times of accidents and the claim numbers follow a dependence structure characterized by a conditional tail probability and the claim sizes have a pairwise negatively quadrant ...

Active Learning‐Accelerated Discovery of Fibrous Hydrogels with Tissue‐Mimetic Viscoelasticity
Active learning accelerates the design of fibrous hydrogels that mimic the viscoelasticity of native tissues. By integrating multi‐objective optimization and closed‐loop experimentation, this approach efficiently identifies optimal formulations from thousands of possibilities and decouples elasticity and viscosity. The resulting hydrogels offer tunable

Estimating Tail Probability in MMPP/D/1 Queue with Importance Sampling by Service Rate Adjustments
The Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM) is an efficient technology for call relays, and it transmits information from multiple services including data, video, or voice.

What controls the tail behaviour of flood series: rainfall or runoff generation? [PDF]
Many observed time series of precipitation and streamflow show heavy-tail behaviour. For heavy-tailed distributions, the occurrence of extreme events has a higher probability than for distributions with an exponentially receding tail. If we neglect heavy-

The nanostructure, size, and function of mRNA‐loaded lipid nanoparticles are evaluated before drying, within polymer microneedles, and after rehydration. The results reveal the polymer and LNP loadings required to recover nanostructure and preserve the delivery performance in dry‐state formulations.

Tail biting in domestic pigs relates to a range of risk factors, primarily in the pigs’ environment. Preventive tail docking is widely used, and various experimental approaches suggest that docking reduces the risk of tail biting.

Fluid Forces Control Structural Remodeling of Blind‐Ended Lymphatic Microvessels
Using innovative microfluidic biofabrication with fluid mechanical insights, we recapitulated the blind‐ended microanatomy and physiological drainage properties of capillary lymphatics. Our results reveal the interrelationship between intra‐ and extraluminal regions of lymphatic vessels due to flow‐induced sprouting and morphological changes that ...

Engineering of Glioblastoma‐Derived Biomimetic Vesicles and Their Structural and Molecular Features
ABSTRACT Biomimetic nanosystems and vesicles have arisen as a novel approach to design vesicular transport systems with diverse therapeutic potential. The ‘biomimetic’ strategy involves the integration of cell membrane components into lipid bilayers, conferring them with biological properties originating from the cell of origin. Until now, most studies

Power unit exponential probability distribution: Statistical inference and applications
We introduce a generalized version of a unit distribution called power unit exponential probability distribution (PUEPrD) using the power transformation of the unit exponential probability distribution.

ASYMPTOTICS OF SURVIVAL PROBABILITIES AND LOWER TAIL PROBABILITY PROBLEM
The present paper is an addendum to the paper ``Lévy models amenable to efficient calculations", where we introduced a general class of Stieltjes-Lévy processes (SL-processes) and signed SL processes defined in terms of certain Stieltjes-Lévy measures.
