The phytoaccumulation of Mn and Fe in nipah palm (Nypa fruticans) has objective to find out the phytoaccumulation potential of Nypa fruticans in Tallo river. Samples were taken in water, sediments, roots, midribs and leaves at five sampling spots representing polluted areas by activities of industrial estates and community settlements.

Summary Sodium is an essential element for animal growth and survival. Here we test the hypothesis that plants exposed to insect feeding can translocate sodium from the feeding site to other plant organs as a defense strategy against phytophagous insects, which need sodium in their diet.

Summary Beyond fully mycoheterotrophic plants, many green plants may also obtain carbon from fungal partners. However, bulk stable isotope analyses often lack sufficient resolution in arbuscular mycorrhizal and rhizoctonia‐associated orchid systems, limiting inference of fungal‐derived organic nutrient acquisition.
