Talocalcaneal Coalition: Diagnosis and Surgical Management
Foot & Ankle, 1992The authors studied 22 patients who had 32 feet with symptomatic talocalcaneal coalition. All feet were treated with excision of the bar and interposition of an autogenous free fat graft. These cases were assessed clinically and radiographically before and after the operation. They conclude that this technique is a good surgery with gratifying results.

Concurrent calcaneonavicular and talocalcaneal coalitions.
The Journal of foot surgery, 1989Dual calcaneonavicular and talocalcaneal coalitions are probably not rare. Given the possibility for failed calcaneonavicular bar resection if a concurrent talocalcaneal bar goes undetected, careful preoperative evaluation is suggested. A case presentation has been made to illustrate the clinical significance of this problem.
