From Competition to Compartmentalization: Rethinking Türkiye‐Gulf Relations

open access: yesMiddle East Policy, Volume 33, Issue 3, Autumn (Fall) 2026.
Abstract For nearly a decade following the Arab uprisings, relations between Ankara and key Gulf capitals were marked by intense rivalry and proxy contestation across several regional arenas, notably in Egypt and Syria. Why did relations shift toward pragmatic cooperation after such prolonged polarization?

Structure‐Based Design, Synthesis, and Biological Evaluation of Oxadiazole–Morpholine Hybrids as Potent PARP‐1 Inhibitors Inducing Apoptosis in Breast Cancer Cells

open access: yesDrug Development Research, Volume 87, Issue 5, August 2026.
ABSTRACT Poly(ADP‐ribose) polymerase‐1 (PARP‐1) plays a central role in the repair of DNA single‐strand breaks and represents an established therapeutic target in cancer treatment. In this study, a series of novel oxadiazole–morpholine hybrid compounds was designed and synthesized using a structure‐based drug design approach to target the catalytic ...

A Review of Overcurrent Protection in Smart Grids Under Cyber‐Physical Threats With a Cyber‐Physical Evaluation Framework

open access: yesEnergy Science &Engineering, Volume 14, Issue 8, Page 3948-3973, August 2026.
By manipulating current and voltage measurements, an assailant can induce unwanted relay action while attempting to avoid detection. Detecting advanced cyber intrusions in power protection environments requires specialised data analysis and anomaly detection methods.

Sewage Sludge and Cashew Bagasse Biochars Promote Changes in Selected Physical Attributes Related to the Structure of Degraded Dryland Soil

open access: yesJournal of Plant Nutrition and Soil Science, Volume 189, Issue 4, Page 460-478, August 2026.
This study evaluated biochars from co‐pyrolysis of sewage sludge and cashew residues on physical quality of a degraded loamy sand soil. SPB applied at 20 Mg ha−1 reduced bulk density by 7.74%, whereas most porosity attributes were driven by soil reconsolidation rather than biochar. Aggregate stability varied with biochar type, with SPB promoting larger

Modeling Biocemented Sands: Hypoplastic Model for MICP‐Based Ground Improvement

open access: yesInternational Journal for Numerical and Analytical Methods in Geomechanics, Volume 50, Issue 12, Page 4893-4912, 25 August 2026.
ABSTRACT Bio‐cementation offers a sustainable and low‐carbon alternative to conventional ground improvement methods, aligning with the growing demand for green geotechnical solutions. To enable reliable numerical simulation of bio‐cemented soil behavior in engineering applications, advanced constitutive models are required to account for the effects of
