The Hidden Challenge: Pelvic Floor Symptoms and Their Impact on Performance and Well‐Being in Elite Female Rugby Players

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Sport Science, Volume 25, Issue 8, August 2025.
ABSTRACT More than half of female ball‐sport athletes experience urinary leakage including 60% of Australian rugby union players. Beyond urinary incontinence (UI), the prevalence and impact of other pelvic floor (PF) symptoms in elite female athletes remains largely unknown.

Long‐term outcome of lesion size index‐guided high‐power ablation with high‐density mapping for pulmonary vein isolation in patients with paroxysmal atrial fibrillation

open access: yesJournal of Arrhythmia, Volume 41, Issue 4, August 2025.
High‐power ablation guided by lesion size index (HP‐LSI) results in fewer pulmonary vein conduction gaps, shorter procedural time, and improved long‐term rhythm outcomes compared to the high‐power, time‐restricted (HPSD) strategy. Abstract Introduction Data on the long‐term outcomes and procedural details of the lesion size index‐guided high‐power ...

Left atrial intramural hematoma following right atrial catheter ablation: A rare case involving coronary sinus injury

open access: yesJournal of Arrhythmia, Volume 41, Issue 4, August 2025.
Left atrial intramural hematoma (LAIH) is an exceedingly rare complication that occurs following catheter ablation in the right atrium. The present case is the first to implicate coronary sinus catheter manipulation—rather than left atrial intervention—as a potential mechanism of LAIH.
