Clinical features and outcomes of the adult Singapore IgA Vasculitis Cohort

open access: yesAnnals, Academy of Medicine, Singapore
Immunoglobulin A (IgA) vasculitis (IgAV), formerly known as Henoch-Schönlein purpura, is an immune-mediated small vessel vasculitis that has a predilection to affect the joints, kidneys, gastrointestinal tract and skin.1,2 It is the most frequent ...

Cumulative Social Disadvantage and Disease Activity in Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis: A Childhood Arthritis and Rheumatology Research Alliance Registry Study

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective Social determinants of health (SDOH) contribute to juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA) disparities, but most studies have assessed SDOH independently rather than cumulatively across individual, family, and neighborhood levels. Using a socioecological framework, we investigated the relationship among cumulative social disadvantage ...

Heavy Higgs Bosons at 14 TeV and 100 TeV [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Searching for Higgs bosons beyond the Standard Model (BSM) is one of the most important missions for hadron colliders. As a landmark of BSM physics, the MSSM Higgs sector at the LHC is expected to be tested up to the scale of the decoupling limit of O(1)

Cracking the Code: Which Ocular Symptoms Predict Dry Eye Signs? Insights from a large international sicca registry

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, Accepted Article.
Purpose The study aimed to identify symptom‐based predictors of dry eye disease (DED) signs in the Sjögrens International Collaborative Clinical Alliance (SICCA) cohort. Methods Retrospective analysis examining 16 ocular symptoms (most graded 0‐4) and artificial tear (AT) use (graded 0‐3) as predictors of DED signs [abnormal ocular surface staining ...

Multiphase topology optimization for the design of porous metamaterials with local volume constraint

open access: yesVietnam Journal of Mechanics
This paper presents a novel multiphase approach for topological design of porous metamaterials. Firstly, a new interpolation scheme based on partition-of-unity mapping is proposed.

Constraining the Two-Higgs-Doublet-Model parameter space

open access: yes, 2007
We confront the Two-Higgs-Doublet Model with a variety of experimental constraints as well as theoretical consistency conditions. The most constraining data are the \bar B\to X_s\gamma decay rate (at low values of M_{H^\pm}), and \Delta\rho (at both low ...

Muon anomalous magnetic moment in supersymmetric scenarios with an intermediate scale and nonuniversality [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
We analyze the anomalous magnetic moment of the muon (a_{\mu}) in supersymmetric scenarios. First we concentrate on scenarios with universal soft terms. We find that a moderate increase of a_{\mu} can be obtained by lowering the unification scale M_{GUT}

Revisiting Stability Criteria in Ball‐Milled High‐Entropy Alloys: Do Hume–Rothery and Thermodynamic Rules Equally Apply?

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, Volume 27, Issue 6, March 2025.
The stability criteria affecting the formation of high‐entropy alloys, particularly focusing in supersaturated solid solutions produced by mechanical alloying, are analyzed. Criteria based on Hume–Rothery rules are distinguished from those derived from thermodynamic relations. The formers are generally applicable to mechanically alloyed samples.
