Pyrethrum (Tanacetum cinerariifolium) from the northern Adriatic as a potential source of natural insecticide: Piretro (Tanacetum cinerariifolium) del Nord Adriatico come fonte potenziale di insetticidi naturali:

2007
Pyrethrum Tanacetum cinerariifolium (Trevir.) Schulty-Bip., a species native to the Eastern Adriatic coastal mountains and islands, is a plant widely used in the production of natural insecticides, pyrethrins. The biosynthetic potential of Pyrethrum from two different locations in the Northern Adriatic for pyrethrin production was determined.

In vitro regeneration and dry matter assessment of pyrethrin-rich Tanacetum cinerariifolium genotypes

Ecology Journal
2019 Pyrethrins, a group of six closely related insecticidal esters derived from Tanacetum cinerariifolium (pyrethrum), are considered the safest natural pesticides for the environment. This study focused on the in vitro propagation of six naturally pyrethrin-producing genotypes of T.
