Validity of Moyers and Tanaka-Johnston Prediction Methods for Mixed Dentition Analysis in the Pediatric Population of Central Maharashtra: A Cross-Sectional Validation Study. [PDF]

open access: yesCureus
Background Accurate prediction of the mesiodistal widths of unerupted permanent canines and premolars is essential for mixed-dentition space analysis and orthodontic planning. The Moyers' probability tables and the Tanaka-Johnston regression equations are widely used, yet their accuracy across different Indian subpopulations remains uncertain.

Natural History and Factors Influencing 90‐Day Clinical Outcomes and 1‐Year Recurrence of Thalamic Stroke [PDF]

open access: yesBrain and Behavior, Volume 16, Issue 10, October 2026.
ABSTRACT Objective To investigate the natural course of cerebral small vessel disease (CSVD) manifested as pure thalamic infarction (PTI) and identify predictors of 90‐day clinical prognosis and 1‐year recurrent major adverse cardiovascular/cerebrovascular events (MACE).

New predictive regression models for estimating the size of unerupted canines and premolars in the Egyptian population [PDF]

open access: yesBMC Oral Health
Background Mixed dentition space analysis assesses the discrepancy between the available and required space within the dental arches during the mixed dentition stage, thereby facilitating the diagnosis and treatment planning of developing malocclusions ...

Factors Associated With Endodontic Flare‐Ups: A Systematic Review and Meta‐Analysis [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Endodontic Journal, Volume 59, Issue 9, Page 1778-1791, September 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Endodontic flare‐ups, characterized by severe postoperative pain and/or swelling requiring unscheduled intervention, remain a clinically significant concern in root canal therapy. Identifying the factors associated with flare‐ups is important for anticipating and managing patient outcomes.

Functional analysis of LIPID TRANSFER PROTEIN 6 (LTP6) in pennycress and Arabidopsis reveals divergent roles in oil storage and seed coat development [PDF]

open access: yesThe Plant Journal, Volume 127, Issue 1, July 2026.
SUMMARY In angiosperms, lipid transfer proteins (LTPs) perform multiple roles, including the shuttling of lipids between organelles and to/through the apoplast. In pennycress (Thlaspi arvense L.), the LIPID TRANSFER PROTEIN 6 (TaLTP6) was identified as highly expressed in developing embryos, especially in high‐oil accessions.
